Chapter 350: Elder Sister

"Little Liu, did that woman come today?" Yun Shuning didn't want to call Ling Xue by her name.

"No, Madam. I haven't seen her all morning." After Yun Shuning questioned her the day before yesterday, she immediately responded enthusiastically.

Yun Shuning nodded and then absentmindedly entered Mu Qi's private elevator.

"President, was that the Young Madam just now?"

In Mu Qi's office, the people on the other end of Mu Qi's computer screen seemed bolder than usual.

Normally, they wouldn't dare to inquire about Mu Qi's private affairs, but now that they were abroad and had been accustomed to a more unrestrained lifestyle for a long time, it was difficult for them to rein themselves in.

Moreover, they had heard about the President's wife in the company's main group chat. They heard that the President doted on his wife exceptionally. Coupled with Yun Shuning's appearance on screen just now, these people naturally became curious.

"Mm, yes," Mu Qi replied quickly.

To the group abroad, Mu Qi was the one who issued the tasks. Hearing soft words like "Mm" and "Yes" made them feel as if they had narrowly escaped death.

Before the people abroad could react, Yun Shuning first captured Mu Qi's attention.

The people on the screen naturally noticed this as well, and they all teased, "Could it be our President's wife who has come up?"

The people on the screen collectively drew out their tones. Mu Qi ignored them, but Yun Shuning responded.

Yun Shuning paused, then quickened her pace towards Mu Qi. She leaned down, cupped his face with both hands, and kissed him on the lips.

As Yun Shuning made her move, the people on the screen began to shriek, letting out sounds like apes.

After declaring her claim, Yun Shuning went to sit on a nearby sofa, not disturbing Mu Qi any further.

Yun Shuning's action was too sudden, and Mu Qi was momentarily stunned, his gaze instinctively following her.

It wasn't until the people on the screen started asking for wedding candy that Mu Qi's attention returned to the screen: "President, when we return, we'll get plenty of wedding candy, right?"

Someone started it, and the rest of them joined in, clamoring for wedding candy.

This made Mu Qi pause again.

Mu Qi and Yun Shuning's wedding had been like a battlefield. The packaging and selection of wedding candy were handled entirely by the Mu family's butler.

At the time, Mu Qi's mind was occupied with keeping an eye on Yun Shuning, and he hadn't paid any attention to the wedding candy.

Mu Qi's expression shifted from stunned to a slight frown. Then, he picked up the document in his hand, and his expression returned to the stern and cold demeanor of work.

"Repeat the third part of the proposal."

As soon as Mu Qi finished speaking, the people on the screen immediately dropped their joking demeanor, returned to their seats, and picked up their documents.

Yun Shuning sat on the sofa, holding her phone, but her gaze was fixed on Mu Qi.

Hearing that Mu Qi had completely ignored the wedding candy issue, a large stone settled in Yun Shuning's heart.

It was as if in a cave with only faint light, a curtain as vast as the sky had appeared, completely obscuring the light.

Mu Qi didn't care anymore.

Yun Shuning lowered her head, her eyes dark and unfathomable. She didn't notice that Mu Qi nearby was searching for all sorts of wedding candy on his phone.

...

Throughout the entire meeting, Mu Qi kept looking in Yun Shuning's direction.

The people on the screen noticed this and took advantage of Mu Qi's distraction to goof off amongst themselves.

A few minutes later, Mu Qi couldn't bear it any longer. He declared a temporary halt to the meeting and walked over to Yun Shuning's side.

"What are you doing?" Mu Qi had looked at Yun Shuning several times, and she had been looking at something on her phone.

Mu Qi's voice suddenly appeared next to her ear. Yun Shuning was startled and quickly covered her phone screen with her stomach. "Nothing."

Mu Qi pursed his lips. He remembered the man he saw at the entrance of the yoga studio, and a fierce glint appeared in his eyes. "Chatting?"

"Ah, yes." Hearing Mu Qi ask this, Yun Shuning breathed a sigh of relief and immediately took it as a stepping stone to go along with it.

Unexpectedly, Mu Qi continued, "Chatting with whom?"

"Just a friend. A girl."

Yun Shuning casually replied, paused for a moment, and then added an important condition.

Mu Qi stared intently at Yun Shuning, but in the end, he relented, his gaze softening considerably.

"Mu Qi, is something wrong?" Yun Shuning asked, seeing Mu Qi standing beside her without saying anything.

Mu Qi pursed his lips, and his eyes held a complex expression.

Yun Shuning was confused. She pressed the power button on her phone.

After a long while, Mu Qi took hold of the hem of Yun Shuning's skirt and said in a feigned tone, "Sister, it's time to eat."

Yun Shuning was taken aback, not understanding what Mu Qi was playing at.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to bring lunch today." Mu Qi's demeanor made Yun Shuning feel even more constrained, and she smoothed her skirt.

What did Mu Qi mean by this?

Was he trying to subtly change their relationship from husband and wife to siblings?

Yun Shuning's alarm bells rang, and she stood up abruptly.

"Mu Qi, you are not allowed to call me 'Sister' from now on." Yun Shuning pushed his chest with her hand, but it didn't budge.

"Why?"

Was it only that person who could call her that?

Or was his imitation not good enough?

Mu Qi questioned her rapidly, the suppressed fierceness in his brows flaring up again.

"Mu Qi, I am your wife, and only your wife. Don't have any other ideas?"

Just as Mu Qi was about to lose control and press Yun Shuning against the wall to question her sternly, Yun Shuning took his hand first, her eyes filled with pleading.

Mu Qi hadn't expected Yun Shuning to say that. The fierceness in his brows dispersed, turning into a swirl of mist.

"I can't call you 'Sister'?" Mu Qi looked at Yun Shuning, his eyes still carrying traces of probing.

"Of course not, I am your lover! Not your sister!"

Yun Shuning frowned, tightening her grip on Mu Qi's hand.

Is it just this?

Mu Qi stared intently at Yun Shuning, wanting to see something, yet fearing to see something.

"Mm, okay."

The reborn Yun Shuning always managed to make Mu Qi incredibly soft with ease.

Because the reborn Yun Shuning "disguised" herself so well, it was difficult for Mu Qi to see even a hint of her desire to leave.
