Even though they all have phones but due to the sudden outbreak of zombies all of their phones have been left behind other than Shizuka
Since all the items including the phone she brings are in that bag she still has, even though she doesn’t know whether Kaneki has a phone nor she wanna ask him for anything now, especially after all the things he has done for her
"Okay~ but there is no network~," Shizuka said as she had already tried to use her phone in order to call her friend but unfortunately there was no network at all still she handed Saya her phone
"It’s fine" Saya replied as she took her phone since it didn’t matter whether her phone had a network or not since she just needed to open her map
Since she can use the map without the internet which will be certainly more helpful, the only downside is that she can’t use GPS as for GPS device needs internet
But it was fine since she just needed to show them the place where her home was located as she began to open the map and started to find her home on the map and it was pretty easy
Due to the fact that as she zoomed in, her residence name was already mentioned on the map making it a lot easier
"Here is my house," Saya said as she brought Shizuka’s phone forward and showed them the location since Saya’s last name was clearly written on the map
So there is no mistake that it is her home but looking at the name on the map, especially in such a big area was enough to make all understand that Saya family comes from a rich family
Kaneki looks at the map as he has already started to calculate how much distance they need to cover in order to reach that location
Even though it is the same city still quite far from here considering the fact that they needed to cover that distance on foot
’Maybe I need to prepare lunch boxes’ Kaneki inwardly said in his mind as he thought it might be better to prepare for tomorrow’s journey
Previously he was thinking of preparing them breakfast and going as in the middle they can just stop by any store but this doesn’t work here it seems
Since he can see how few shops are in the way which is the reason he thinks that it is better to have preparations ready before going out
"So it’s settled, right?" Saya asked this as she asked for everyone’s opinion on this while wandering her eyes over every person in the room
*nod*
Saeko nodded her head as she thought this might be a good objective as she had no problem with this plan at all
"I agree too" Rei spoke up as she also had no problem even though they could still see her being a little depressed as they knew the reason for it
Still, Rei knows it is better to keep going rather than be depressed in this place, it is better to keep going and survive
If she keeps this behaviour then she might get killed sooner or later, even though she still wanna search for her father but she finds Saya’s words harsh or the truth
It is better to go to a place rather than a blind search, not to mention that she does not think anyone will help if she asks them for help
She understands that since their main priority is survival and she also wants to survive but she is still worried about her dad
’Hopefully, you are safe, Dad’ Rei inwardly said in her mind as she prayed in silence for his safety while she finally made up her mind to ignore her personal feelings to survive with her team
"I also have no problem~," Shizuka said as she shook her head since she also had no problem moving on especially since she knew staying here won’t do anything good
"I agree," Kaneki said as she also agreed with Saya’s plan since Shizuka has no problems as he also has no problem
Not to mention seeing the size of the area which is owned by the Saya family means they can also get a lot of useful things in this situation
After settling every time down and talking more about tomorrow’s plans; Saeko, Saya and Rei went to sleep since they needed to wake early tomorrow in order to leave
But before that, they decided to make backpacks for tomorrow which included fitting guns, ammo and other items they would need
Meanwhile, Kaneko isn’t sitting on the roof of the house enjoying the view up in the sky, while he sometimes looks at the buildings
’It’s beautiful’ Kaneki couldn’t help but say in his mind while staring at the sky which was covered by countless bright stars
Maybe it is because of city lights are off or it is because the city is too quiet today but Kaneki found today’s night sky exceptionally beautiful as well as peaceful
"I wonder if it’s really all alright for me to live like this" Kaneki muttered as he still dont think he should be living like this
Kaneki dont like being with normal people, especially with people who are bright, and it is not because he hates them but the opposite he hates himself and does not think it will do anything good to those people if he sticks around them
He sticks with Shizuka because he dont consider as someone bright also he worries for her thinking about how she will manage if he leaves her considering how airheaded she is.
He still has many doubts about all his actions but there is one thing that is certain and that is he dont regret what he has done
’All of them are good people’ Kaneki inwardly said this as that is one of the reasons he regretted getting involved with them
