Chapter 460 The Workaholic

Although Lou Yuming's words were boastful, Song Xi indeed found inspiration from them.

Her desire to work instantly surged, and she immediately asked Lou Yuming to prepare a computer.

Lou Yuming, still thinking of her just-applied medicine, said, "In a moment."

But Song Xi was anxious, afraid her inspiration would disappear.

With no other choice, Lou Yuming made a phone call. Within minutes, a new Apple laptop appeared in the room.

As Lou Yuming handed it to her, he snorted, "Workaholic."

Song Xi scoffed, thinking he worked even more crazily than she did.

Song Xi buried herself in work for two hours and finally finished the proposal. She considered it perfect, but looking at Lou Yuming, she thought, why not get his opinion since she had a free client right there? So, she woke the resting man.

"Finished?" he asked, opening his eyes, a hint of red in their corners.

He clearly hadn't slept well; after all, they'd been at it for so long yesterday, and he was getting older…

As if hearing Song Xi's unspoken thoughts, he shot her a glare. Song Xi, intimidated, dared not speak.

Lou Yuming quickly scanned her proposal and found numerous flaws.

However, he deliberately didn't point them out, merely nodding faintly, "Mhm."

Mhm?

What did that "mhm" mean? Was it good or bad?

Song Xi felt uneasy and nudged him, "Explain yourself, is something written incorrectly?"

Lou Yuming propped himself up on his hands, falling back onto the bed, and asked, "If you do this, isn't it cheating?"

His words struck Song Xi like a lightning bolt.

It seemed it was indeed so.

Thus, Song Xi immediately turned the computer around, "Then let's forget it."

"?" Lou Yuming's expression froze for a second, "That's not what I meant."

"No need! You're right, it's unfair to the other contestants if I do this!"

"..." Lou Yuming's brow furrowed, "But have you considered that other contestants might ask others, or even directly hire someone to write a proposal for them?"

"So what?"

Song Xi's question left Lou Yuming stunned.

She said, "If they want to do that, it's their business. I can't do it."

...Such a stubborn little thing.

"You really don't need it?" Lou Yuming, showing rare patience, asked again.

Song Xi insisted, "No!"

"Alright." Seeing her determination, Lou Yuming couldn't say much. Letting her gain experience would be beneficial. Not everyone in this entertainment industry played by the rules like she did; she'd learn that the hard way.

Lou Yuming's words proved prophetic. The next day, during the meeting, participants spoke according to their draw. Song Xi was fortunate enough to be the last.

Before entering the conference room, Jin Ying looked very uneasy. Song Xi thought she hadn't written a good proposal and tried to comfort her. However, when Jin Ying presented, despite a few misspoken points, her entire proposal was brilliant!

Song Xi, sitting in her seat, was dumbfounded.

Three designers, two of whom applauded with satisfaction. Only Yu Sen remained expressionless.

Jin Ying was already content. After stepping down, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Song Xi felt a strong sense of déjà vu, like in high school when everyone claimed they hadn't studied before an exam, but had actually been secretly cramming.

The proposals from the two male contestants, Wen Junying and Gao Yuan, were also quite innovative.

Mi Xuan, however, surprised everyone. Not only had she completed her proposal, but she had also privately contacted the client and reached a preliminary cooperation agreement, a move that put everyone else far behind.

This was it, Song Xi thought. She hadn't expected everyone to be so formidable, and she started to doubt her own proposal.

Although Mi Xuan's progress was the fastest among everyone, it was also incredibly bold.

Apart from designer Huang Maoshi, the other two designers did not react enthusiastically.

This left Mi Xuan feeling very disappointed.

She had gone this far, why wasn't it enough!
