Chapter 399: Chapter 399: The End of the Big Mom Pirates!
Kizaru quickly reached Egghead Island. After explaining the situation to Sentomaru and Vegapunk, he immediately set off with Sentomaru, the Pacifistas, and the Seraphim.
This time they had to move as fast as possible and not give the Big Mom Pirates any time to recover!
Luckily, there were no regular Marines in this mission. If news leaked, things would get much harder. Kizaru planned to use a surprise attack to catch the Big Mom Pirates completely off guard!
With the battleship going at full speed, Kizaru’s group soon arrived in the waters of Whole Cake Island.
"Marines?"
"Why are the Marines suddenly here?" a patrolling member of the Big Mom Pirates shouted in shock.
There was a hint of panic and unease in his voice.
They had just gone through an intense battle and hadn’t fully recovered yet.
"Damn it! These guys must be trying to take us out while we’re weak! Hurry, go tell Mama!" another pirate yelled anxiously.
Hearing that, everyone on the pirate ship tensed up. They all became alert, their nerves stretched tight.
The pirate in charge of communications quickly pulled a Den Den Mushi from his coat and was about to contact Cake Island when, all of a sudden, a blinding flash of light burst in the sky.
In that instant, the piercing yellow light caught every pirate’s attention, and they all looked up.
As the golden light faded and gathered, it revealed a figure wearing a yellow-striped suit!
"It’s... Admiral Kizaru! That monster came himself!" a pirate screamed in terror.
His face turned pale, and his body shook uncontrollably, as if the end of the world had arrived.
"This is bad! We’re in big trouble now!" the other pirates said with fear written on their faces.
Kizaru didn’t give them a moment to breathe.
"Can’t let you warn anyone else~"
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
In a flash, countless golden light bullets poured down on the pirate ship like a storm.
Each one carried terrifying power, roaring through the air with incredible speed and destructive force.
The pirates stared in horror, their eyes full of fear and despair, as if the grim reaper himself had come to take their lives.
Some collapsed on the spot, too scared to fight back. Others tried to run, but there was nowhere to escape.
Boom!
A series of rapid explosions shook the entire sea. In moments, the pirate ship was swallowed up by fire and thick smoke.
"Sentomaru, I’ll go ahead. Bring the Pacifistas and the Seraphim and follow quickly!" Kizaru shouted without looking back. Then his figure shot forward like a laser, vanishing in the blink of an eye as he rushed toward Cake Island.
"Got it!"
"Seriously, always rushing ahead," Sentomaru muttered, hefting his axe before waving his hand to make the Marines speed up.
Cake Island was bustling with activity.
Katakuri and his many siblings were busy with post-battle rebuilding.
The island’s core had luckily escaped damage, but the outer areas were in ruins, filled with broken buildings and wreckage.
Those injured in the fierce battle were still receiving emergency treatment, and the medical teams were working nonstop.
Katakuri stood silently, lost in thought.
His sister, Charlotte Galette, noticed something was off. She walked over quickly, her face full of concern. "Katakuri, what are you thinking about? And how are your injuries? Do you feel any discomfort?"
Hearing her voice, Katakuri slowly came back to himself.
He shook his head lightly and said,
"Don’t worry, Galette. My injuries aren’t serious.
I’ve just been wondering who could slip into our territory without making a sound, steal Mama’s treasures she kept for years, and even make our sister Brûlée disappear.
It’s really troubling and hard to understand."
As he spoke, Katakuri frowned, his face showing deep frustration.
Even though he felt unwilling, Katakuri thought that the missing Poneglyph might actually be a good thing for the Big Mom Pirates.
It would give others one less reason to target them.
Right now, the Big Mom Pirates were in a dangerous, unstable situation.
Their Mama, after the fierce battle earlier, had gone into a rampage and had to be sedated. She was now in a deep sleep and would need at least a few days to wake up.
Faced with this, the whole Whole Cake Island quickly took action, pulling back their defenses and preparing for battle to stop any hostile forces from taking advantage of the situation.
Everyone knew they had to stay united to face this crisis together.
"How scary~"
"As expected of the top of the Big Mom Pirates’ Sweet Commanders — such sharp senses to notice me this fast."
As he spoke, a figure slowly appeared in the air.
It was none other than Marine Headquarters Admiral — Kizaru Borsalino.
He stood firmly in the air, his whole body giving off a chilling pressure. His arms were crossed, and his palms glowed with a bright yellow light, clearly ready to attack at any moment.
Facing the hostile Kizaru, Katakuri showed no fear.
His eyes widened in fury as he let out a thunderous roar: "Everyone, fight them!!"
The moment his voice rang out, the whole battlefield became tense to the extreme.
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
Almost at the same time Katakuri finished speaking, Kizaru launched his attack without hesitation.
Countless golden light bullets poured down like a rainstorm, moving so fast that in the blink of an eye, they were already whistling toward the people below.
Wherever they passed, the air was ripped apart, making sharp, piercing sounds.
The next second—
A series of deafening explosions shook the air!
The beautiful buildings on Whole Cake Island were instantly blown apart by the terrifying blasts, turning into piles of rubble.
At the same time—
The cries of terrified pirates filled the air. Some were blown to pieces, others sent flying by the shockwaves. The scene was too horrible to look at, like a living hell.
