Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Mirror World
After searching carefully, the two finally found the place where Big Mom kept her treasures.
They stepped through a space door and entered a hidden hall. Seeing the valuable items displayed inside left them amazed.
"Wow..."
"This fat lady might look rough, but her collection is full of rare treasures!" Nami felt the sudden urge to take everything here.
"Don’t forget, she’s a pirate from the same era as Whitebeard and Roger. There’s nothing she wouldn’t have in her collection," Kuina replied while curiously looking around.
Nami’s eyes darted around, and then she asked Kuina, "Kuina, who do you think will win the war outside?"
Kuina thought seriously for three seconds.
"It’ll probably be a hard-fought win for the Red-Haired Pirates. Big Mom is no longer at her peak. If she’d trained seriously with that body of hers, her Armament Haki would be even stronger than Vice Admiral Garp’s," Kuina said with certainty.
"Then what do you think will happen if the Red-Haired Pirates win, come here, and find nothing—not even the Road Poneglyph?" Nami said, sounding excited.
Kuina’s eyes went wide.
"If you actually take the Poneglyph away, I think they’ll go crazy. All those lives lost, and they end up with nothing," Kuina said, finding Nami’s idea a bit insane.
But then, she thought it might actually be fun, so she didn’t say no.
Even though they were deep in the heart of Whole Cake Island, they could feel how fierce the battle outside was.
Shockwaves from the fight shook the ground beneath their feet from time to time.
Seeing the smile that had unconsciously appeared on Kuina’s face, Nami knew she wanted to go along with it too. So they started looking for the Road Poneglyph.
At that moment—
In a place they couldn’t see, the image of Charlotte Brûlée appeared inside a mirror. Her figure flashed by in an instant, unnoticed by Nami and Kuina.
"Strange... where could it be?" Nami started getting impatient.
Kuina also found it odd.
This was the most heavily guarded place in the whole territory. With the Red-Haired Pirates invading, Big Mom shouldn’t have moved the Poneglyph.
But they had searched every corner here and still hadn’t found it.
Even the homies were stubborn—no matter how Nami and Kuina pressured them, they refused to talk.
So the two had no choice but to wipe out all the homies there.
"Nami, come take a look. Doesn’t this look like a door? Maybe there’s another space behind it?" Kuina suddenly called out.
Nami quickly walked over.
She saw Kuina staring seriously at what looked like a door in the wall. On this "door" hung a huge mirror.
"It really does look like a door," Nami nodded.
Just as she was about to push it, the "door" suddenly opened—or rather, the glass mirror opened—revealing a massive space inside.
And there it was: the Road Poneglyph.
Nami and Kuina exchanged a knowing look. They both understood—someone was inviting them in.
They both smiled.
With no fear on their faces, they stepped inside. The moment they entered, the mirror door closed behind them.
Still, neither of them looked worried.
"Ooh-ee ooh-ee ooh-ee~"
"Welcome to my mirror world!"
"Nami, navigator of the Dream Exploration Team... and Kuina, swordswoman!"
A woman’s voice came from somewhere. It was Charlotte Brûlée, Big Mom Pirates’ mirror-mirror fruit user.
Nami and Kuina turned toward the voice.
In one of the mirrors appeared a woman who looked like an old witch, with a big hooked red nose, a scar across her face, wearing a long white dress with rose decorations, and a green leather jacket.
"Big Mom Pirates, mirror-mirror fruit user, 8th daughter of the Charlotte family—Charlotte Brûlée!" Nami said instantly, recognizing her at first sight.
"Woo-ee woo-ee woo-ee~"
"Who would’ve thought that a member of the great Dream Exploration Team would turn out to be a thief? If word got out, people’s jaws would drop," Charlotte Brûlée said with a creepy laugh.
She stared at Nami and Kuina’s delicate faces. The ugly scar on her own face stirred up a deep jealousy in her.
"How did you know I was a thief?" Nami suddenly asked, looking excited.
"Huh???" Charlotte Brûlée was stunned by Nami’s reaction.
"Nami, don’t waste words on her. The Poneglyph is what matters. Don’t forget, there’s still a pile of treasures outside," Kuina said, not taking Charlotte Brûlée’s words seriously.
"Right." Nami nodded.
"Woo-ee woo-ee woo-ee~"
"Even if you copy the Poneglyph, so what? This is my mirror world. Without my permission, you’ll be locked up here forever!" Charlotte Brûlée laughed wildly.
But Nami and Kuina still ignored her shouting.
Nami walked up to the Poneglyph, crouched down, and pushed underneath it. In an instant, a space door appeared.
The Poneglyph dropped straight through the door into another dimension!
"Wha... what... no way..." Charlotte Brûlée froze. The Poneglyph had vanished!
"Ahhhh!"
"You brats!"
"Where did you take the Poneglyph?!" she shouted in anger.
But she didn’t dare show herself.
She knew very well that Nami and Kuina were no pushovers—especially Kuina. No one even knew the full extent of Kuina’s strength.
Nami looked at her with a bright smile. "Honestly, Charlotte Brûlée, we should thank you. If you hadn’t opened up the mirror world yourself, we wouldn’t have been able to get in."
Kuina, standing beside her, also thought Brûlée didn’t seem too bright.
"You may have gotten the Poneglyph, but you’ll still be stuck here forever. When Mama comes back, you’ll see how scary she is!" Brûlée yelled.
Nami and Kuina exchanged another glance.
This woman... really didn’t seem to have a brain. Didn’t she know that Nami had the Door-Door Fruit powers?
Then Brûlée’s eyes went wide.
Nami had opened another space door, and the two of them stepped through. Once the door shut, they completely disappeared from her mirror world.
