Chapter 268: Chapter 268: Trigon and Life Equation
[3rd POV]
Staring up at the entity before her, Gwen could sense his power. It was a bit more than what she was initially expecting of the man, but not enough for it to be much of a problem for her. As he was still weaker than Dormammu on average, and she was confident that she could beat even that man.
"You...you have finally revealed yourself once more!" Trigon’s voice boomed, as he stared down at her form, remembering their past battle, and his loss against her. A rather horrible lost where he was defeated.
But now he believed it would be different, for she was standing before his true self of the prime universe, his strongest self. Not only that, but she was in his territory, meaning he was even more at an advantage.
At least, that’s what he believed.
In actuality, he was absolutely doomed, as Gwen decided to heed her girlfriend’s words. This entity before her was better off dead, permanently, and she could not afford to let him get away. So, she blurred in pure speed, moving faster than thought as her fist blurred, a combination of pure might, speed, and technique as it slammed into the creature’s chest as he was rocketed back, blasting through the walls of the large castle he had been in.
At the same time, the dimension they were in quivered underneath the power of her blow, as the demons in the surroundings were completely obliterated in the next instant, combusting into nothing more than dust, never to return to form again.
Gwen blurred again, her fist slamming into Trigon at speeds faster than even he can possibly comprehend, as his form was blown apart only to instantly heal, roars of anger and pain echoing from his demonic throat.
"How! How have you gotten so powerful!" Trigon roared, as he attempted to deflect her blows, his own blasts of energy shaking the surroundings as it was obliterated from existence, the dimension unraveling underneath the might of Trigon, and the sheer blows of Gwen.
"I trained a lot" Gwen said simply, smirking at the rage on the large creatures face, as thousands of golden portals formed around her, golden chains flowing out and wrapping around the entity.
These were the chains of Enkidu, but much much much stronger than they used to be. As she had found that after she had reached the level of power that she was at, they were now beginning to reach the levels of not just mere noble phantasms, but what they were in real life when Gilgamesh was alive.
Chains that could bind the heavens.
Chains that were new binding Trigon as she floated in front of the raging demon, lasers flowing from his eyes as he tried to attack her only for the energy to be absorbed into her.
"I’d ask if you have any last words, but your daughter would be pissed if I keep pushing this off, so...bye I guess" Gwen said, as her hand reached out, and Trigon stilled, fear filling the great entity as he felt it.
His soul was being absorbed. His power...his very being.
And as he attempted to fight back, to resist the woman in front of him, he found that he couldn’t. She was simply...too overwhelming, too powerful. And so, the great demonic entity Trigon did not go in the glory of battle against a cosmic entity, did not die to his daughter, no...
He went silently, as he was absorbed as if he was nothing more than a simple bug.
And in some ways, he was to Gwen, as she felt his power flow through her, quite immense power, but not enough to really make her too excited.
She did like the rewards it gave her though.

With Trigon absorbed into her being, she disappeared from the dimension, using all her speed as she reappeared in the universe, but instead was on the other end of it, at the place where she should theoretically be able to claim the Light Equation at.

The Source Wall
The wall was infinite in size, and impossible for her to get through. It was also incredibly advanced, powerful, and not something she even dared touch. Just looking at it, she could feel her power attempt to comprehend it and its creation, but she stopped herself as she would rather not potentially harm her own mind.
So instead, she was staring at it, wondering what she needed to do in order to claim the Life Equation from the Source, which laid beyond the wall in front of her.
"You know, you don’t need to come here to learn the Life Equation, child" A voice echoed from her side, as Gwen stilled.
She hadn’t even sensed the being that appeared next to her. No life, no energy...nothing. Which made her instantly understand as she slowly turned to them, breathing out as she understood very quickly why she couldn’t sense them.
For the being at her side was so far above her, that she was but an ant in comparison. An entity that could quite literally think her out of existence, and even with all of her immortality and powers, she would not be able to stop it, wouldn’t even be able to resist.
The entity known as...
The Presence
"...I can’t say I was expecting to see you here" Gwen replied, knowing that the God of the DC multiverse was standing next to her. The Father of creation, and THE God.
"Yes well, it’s not everyday someone thinks of claiming the Life Equation, much less attempting to convene with one of my major aspects" The Presence responded with a smile, as Gwen glanced at him.
"I’m not in trouble for this, am I?" Gwen asked, as the man chuckled.
"No child, you are not in trouble. You have not broken any laws or rules of my multiverse, and you have not caused any problems. It would take far more than killing a mere demon to make me interfere" The Presence responded with a shake of his head.
"I see...by saying I didn’t need to come here to claim the life equation, what did you mean?" Gwen asked, as she looked at the man.
"I meant that you do not need to come here to claim the equation, for you already possess it, child" The entity responded with a simple smile, as Gwen blinked, only to realize what he meant a second later.
"...I see. The white lantern ring, it’s more than just a mere lantern ring, isn’t it?"
"Very much so. It’s life given form, the ultimate creation of the life entity. You are not just a white lantern, Gwendolyn, you are THE white lantern. The master of the Life Equation, and the ultimate champion of life. But that ring did not give you the life equation, no, you already know the equation, just as you know the Anti-Life. You simply have not used them" The Presence responded, as Gwen stopped and stared.
"...Of course you’d know" Gwen said with a sigh, as if there was one being that would know of who she truly was, it was God.
"Well of course! All us Multiverse overseers know of you, child. My close neighbor Stan has spoken quite a lot about your incredible achievements in his multiverse" The Presence said with a smile, as Gwen stopped.
"Multiversal overseer? But I thought-" "That I am THE God? Afraid not, child. No, I am but a creator of a single multiverse, so powerful that I appear to be omnipotent. In actuality, I am not the one true God. That belongs to only one person, and I am certainly not them" The Presence cut her off, shaking his head at the thought.
"...Should I even bother asking who they are?"
"No, but you’ll find out sooner or later. They are the one who gave you this second chance afterall" The Presence responded. Gwen breathed out, as the system chimed.
[Transcendant Quest Assigned]
[Details - Meet the One True God. Creator of existence, father of creation, master of the system]

"...So it’s okay for me to use the life equation, to learn it?" Gwen asked, as she decided to ignore the quest for now. As she imagined it would come naturally in the future, that she would meet this...creator.
Whoever they were.
"Of course. I wouldn’t let you live if it was a problem. I just ask that you don’t use the anti-life equation, at least until you deal with Darkseid. Once you do, you can use both" The Presence responded.
"Both? Ah, it’s because I’ll be a perfect balance between the two, huh?" Gwen said, understanding why she’d have to wait, as the man nodded.
"Indeed. Now, I’ll leave you to it. But I do suggest you do it quickly as otherwise I’m afraid some of my other creations may come for you, and as you know, I will not interfere should they" The Presence warned, she nodded. The man smiled as he gave her a simple wave, before floating off with his umbrella, disappearing from the area.
Breathing out, Gwen looked down at her ring, as it began to glow brilliantly, an equation flowing through her head, as she breathed out and spoke the words that had not been spoken throughout this multiverse in untold billions of years. And those words were...
"companionship + understanding + assurance + joy + altruism ÷ respect ÷ commendation ÷ sympathy x innocence x dignity x success x acceptance y=n where y=despair and n=caution, love=truth, death=rebirth, and...self=light side"
And as those words left her throat, everything...
