“As long as Mom is happy.” Who would’ve thought that right after Qing Zhu’s words fell, Yu Ze’s voice chimed in.
“Yeah, yeah, Dad said as long as Mom is happy, we’ll go along with what she wants.” Master Cohen added, making everyone present speechless, realizing that even though Chu Molin wasn’t there, he still managed to spread some dog food around.
As for Qin Xue, her heart felt the sweetest, not expecting that man usually taught the kids like this.
Qin Xue just smiled, eating more joyfully. But as she ate, she didn’t forget to serve the kids some dishes, as a mother shouldn’t only care about herself, right?
The meal was finished amidst their chatter and laughter. Qin Xue excused herself to go to the restroom, and turned to the counter to settle the bill.
“Waiter, the bill for that table,” Qin Xue pointed to their table, indicating for the waiter to bring the bill.
“No need, that table has already been paid for,” the manager said, looking toward the direction Qin Xue pointed.
“Who paid for it?” Qin Xue asked in confusion, as none of the three of them had left the table, so who could’ve settled the bill?
“Our boss paid for it,” the manager replied, never having seen Qing Zhu so happy. She had witnessed it during this meal.
“Why would your boss pay for us?” Qin Xue asked, looking at the person opposite her in bewilderment. Isn’t that a bit too strange?
“Isn’t it nice that someone paid?” the manager laughed. This person was quite interesting; others would eagerly want someone to treat them, yet here she was, asking so meticulously.
“It’s not really about that, but we don’t know your boss, so why would they treat us? Please return the money to your boss, we’ll settle the bill ourselves.” Qin Xue placed the money in front of the waiter.
“You really don’t need to pay. Our boss said to put this meal on her tab; you just enjoy yourselves.” The manager pushed the money back to Qin Xue.
“Is your boss male or female?” Qin Xue genuinely didn’t understand what this boss’s intentions were.
“Female.” The manager looked at Qin Xue amused, weren’t they well-acquainted? Why ask if the boss was male or female?
“That’s really strange.” Qin Xue touched her chin, wondering when she had gotten to know such a female boss.
“What’s strange?” Qing Zhu and Dongfang Li came over with several kids and saw Qin Xue talking with the manager.
“I said to settle the bill, but the waiter here said someone already paid for us. Isn’t that strange?” Qin Xue looked at her friends and asked.
“What’s strange about that? Isn’t it nice someone paid?” Qing Zhu had said she was treating from the beginning, didn’t she?
“The issue is we don’t know them, so why would they pay for us?” Qin Xue was bewildered.
“Alright, stop fretting, let’s go. If you want to eat here in the future, just come by. I can’t guarantee others, but I can take care of you.” Qing Zhu gave her a look, realizing that she still hadn’t figured out Qing Zhu was the owner of this place.
“Qing Zhu, you mean…” Qin Xue pointed at Qing Zhu, then pointed to the manager.
“Why not?” Qing Zhu looked at Qin Xue, who finally realized.
“Qing Zhu, you’re so mean. Why didn’t you tell me from the start? I was so embarrassed.” Qin Xue looked at the manager unnaturally, realizing she had been dining with the boss all along, yet she didn’t even know who it was.
“Don’t worry, Qing Tian won’t laugh at you, will you, Qing Tian?” Qing Zhu glanced at the manager, also known as Qing Tian.
“Of course not, you’re welcome to visit next time. With your fondness, we can only do better.” Qing Tian smiled at Qin Xue. This girl was so adorable, no wonder she made her boss so happy.
