"Why are you so determined to go?" Mo Lan asked angrily.
"Why can’t I go? Ruan Tianling gave me a call and invited me to go. I was formally invited, do you have a problem with that?" Qi Ruigang replied confidently.
Mo Lan didn’t believe it: "Did he really call you?"
"What else do you think?!"
Actually, the truth was, he called Ruan Tianling yesterday, testing him by asking if there was something going on today. He heard Mo Lan was going out, so he called to ask.
Then Ruan Tianling was too embarrassed to say that Qi Ruisen and Mo Lan were coming over to have dinner and catch up. Inviting those two but not him would be unreasonable.
Ruan Tianling had no choice but to say he and Jian Yufei planned to host a dinner and invited him as well.
Qi Ruigang pretended to reluctantly agree.

Mo Lan believed his words, and she couldn’t say anything more. After all, Ruan Tianling had officially invited Qi Ruigang, and she couldn’t argue against that.

Jian Yufei was telling a story to Junqi. She turned her head, stood up, and smiled, "You’re here."

Jian Yufei smiled and said, "I accidentally burned it. Don’t worry, it can be healed."
"How did that happen accidentally? Was it Nangong Xu who hurt you?"
Jian Yufei shook her head, "No, it was my own carelessness."
Seeing her speaking so sincerely, Mo Lan believed her. Qi Ruisen was also surprised by Jian Yufei’s face; he didn’t know about her injury.
After they shifted their focus from Jian Yufei’s face, their attention fell to Junqi beside her.
Mo Lan stared at Junqi’s face, pleasantly surprised, "Is he Ansel’s twin brother?"
"Yes, he is called Junqi. He understands English but not Chinese."
Mo Lan immediately switched to English to greet Junqi. Junqi looked at her confusedly, without any response. Mo Lan didn’t mind and took out a prepared small gift to give to Junqi.
"This is a gift from aunty. Do you like it?" It was a small silver harmonica. Mo Lan placed it to her lips and played a sweet sound.
She handed the harmonica to Junqi. Junqi took it and tried playing it himself, and it actually made a sound.
He hummed and explored, soon discovering that blowing on different places produced different sounds.
Junqi, like a curious child, continued to explore and play.
Jian Yufei gently patted his head, gratefully saying to Mo Lan, "He really likes this gift."
"I’m glad he likes it. I was worried he wouldn’t."
"Thank you."
Mo Lan waved her hand, "No need to be so polite. By the way, where is Mr. Ruan?"
She looked around and saw Ruan Tianling slowly coming down from upstairs in a white shirt.
Ruan Tianling came over to greet them and then arranged for them to go to the dining room for the meal.
Jian Yufei and Mo Lan sat on one side, while Qi Ruisen and Qi Ruigang sat on the other side.
