Chapter 420: Chapter 420 Nangong Wakes Up
Jiang Xue looked and laughed; this little rascal had forgiven her. Holding him with a smile, Jiang Xue asked cheerfully, "Not angry anymore?"
Little Reunion didn’t say a word but proactively gave Jiang Xue a peck and then clung to her neck, not letting go.
With that kiss, Jiang Xue’s heart melted, and she returned the gesture. After a moment of affection between mother and child, Jiang Xue turned to Little Fox to thank him and then, carrying her child, left the space.
In the living room, the elderly folks watched Jiang Xue walk in with the child and couldn’t help but feel concerned, remembering Little Reunion had been angry at Jiang Xue before.
"Xue’er is okay, right?" Bai Yuhua asked, glancing at her husband.
"Shouldn’t be anything to worry about, I guess." Mu Siwu glanced at the closed door behind Jiang Xue, speaking without too much certainty.
"Who would’ve thought Little Reunion is so young yet knows how to get angry."
"This child is clever; at such a young age, he already knows how to be upset." Father Jiang chuckled, showing some emotion over Little Reunion’s anger.
"They’ve been in there for a while. Should we check on them?" Mrs. Jiang was a bit worried, knowing Jiang Xue’s temperament and fearing she might engage in a spat with the child.
"Shall we check?" Bai Yuhua chimed in with the suggestion.
"Let’s go and look, to avoid a potential clash between the two." Mrs. Jiang said while getting up. Just as she was about to head towards Jiang Xue’s room, the door suddenly opened, and Jiang Xue came out carrying the child.
The eyes of the elderly instantly landed on them as they came out. After observing for a while and seeing the harmonious interaction and the smile on Little Reunion’s face, they were finally at ease.
"Is everything okay now?" Mrs. Jiang asked unexpectedly, noting that the mother and son had reconciled.
"Look at how happily Little Reunion is smiling; everything must be fine." Bai Yuhua said joyfully, her previously tense heart finally relaxing.
As Jiang Xue emerged, seeing the concerned looks on the faces of the two sets of parents, she couldn’t help but smile and said, "Mom, Dad, no need to worry, we’re alright."
"As long as everything is fine!" Mu Siwu smiled, thinking of how Jiang Xue mentioned someone being saved by the military and currently recovering in the hospital. He asked, "Xue’er, how about that person Qian Cheng saved earlier, have they woken up? Should we visit them after dinner?"
"The doctor previously said they would wake up in two hours, so they should be awake by now." It’s about two and a half hours since she returned from the town; that man should be awake by now.
Thinking of Nangong Chen, Jiang Xue’s eyes flickered. It was clear that he might not be an ordinary person, and she was contemplating whether to get involved.
However, putting that aside, visiting wouldn’t hurt. After all, she was sort of a life-saving benefactor to him, right?
With that thought, Jiang Xue said to Mu Siwu, "That person doesn’t have anyone to look after them; why not go with Dad tomorrow morning to visit?"
Mu Siwu pondered for a moment, then nodded, saying, "Alright, we’ll go have a look tomorrow. Then we can check if we need to contact his family."
At Mao Store Town Health Center, Nangong Chen had just woken up after being unconscious for several hours. As soon as he woke up, he realized he was lying in a hospital. Even though the hospital’s facilities didn’t seem great, the wounds on his body were well-bandaged.
It looked like the bullets were also removed from his body. However, he didn’t know who had saved him or who brought him to the hospital?
