Chapter 396: It’s enough for me to have Adrian Walyon like me.

Chapter 396: Chapter 396: It’s enough for me to have Adrian Walyon like me.

This time, after going through so much, Gina Sutton won’t have it easy either!

The position Gina Sutton holds now, Summer Sutton won’t let her keep for long.

When someone feeds you poison, you can’t just swallow it.

Her innocence must be proven!

The truth, she will find a way to uncover it!

...

Adrian Walyon left the Walyon Family without a second thought, with no intention of returning.

Diana Wood called several times, seemingly trying to persuade Adrian to go back, apologize to Grandpa, and be a family once more.

Before she could finish speaking, Adrian directly hung up the phone.

Diana was so angry she was fuming and called Summer Sutton next.

Summer didn’t want to talk to her, but since she was still her mother-in-law in name, she picked up the call due to that connection.

"Tell me, what’s so great about you? There are so many women in the world, why did Adrian specifically choose you?"

"It was enough that he protected you everywhere in the house, but then he left, completely broke with the family, abandoned everything for you. Summer Sutton, what makes you worth all his sacrifice?"

"I think he’s just foolish, bewitched for a moment! Just a woman, how big a deal could it be? Only a fool would give up so much for one person."

She said a lot in a row, but Summer lacked the energy to argue with her.

"Whether others think I’m good or not doesn’t matter, as long as he likes me." With that one sentence, Summer hung up the phone.

She always spoke concisely and directly.

Diana was almost driven to a heart attack by her words.

The two of them clearly didn’t care for her as a mother at all!

After hanging up the phone, Summer looked at the time, four o’clock.

Standing alone by the window of the apartment, she quietly lost herself in thought.

In truth, she hadn’t expected Adrian to do so much for her.

Why was she worth such effort from Adrian? She didn’t know either.

Suddenly, she recalled what Adrian said when they first met.

Did he know her from before?

Summer stood by the window for a long time, long enough that she didn’t notice when Adrian came back.

"What are you zoning out about?" Adrian asked, tapping her head with his fingertips as he came up behind her.

"Nothing, I’ll go make dinner." Summer snapped back to reality and shook her head.

She didn’t mention Diana’s phone call and turned to enter the kitchen.

Opening the fridge, she saw there weren’t many groceries inside, so she called out to Adrian. "Adrian, can you come with me to the supermarket later?"

"Okay." Adrian responded casually, then went to take a quick shower and change into casual clothes to accompany her out.

Shopping at the supermarket, Adrian took charge of pushing the cart while Summer picked out the necessary supplies for the home.

As she looked at various items, Adrian noticed everything she chose was very economical.

Summer had always been a frugal person, whether at the Walyon Family or now.

She wasn’t used to extravagance, especially since they had to start from scratch now. Being thrifty wasn’t wrong.

While browsing the supermarket, Summer initially took a liking to a couple’s set of Nordic-style, simple white mouthwash cups, which were beautiful.

She must have really liked them, for she kept looking at them over and over.

But, when she saw the price, 600, she finally put them back.

To her, 600 was too expensive for a set of couple’s cups.

Adrian saw this and casually threw the cups into the cart.
