Chapter 330: It’s you!

Chapter 330: It’s you!

"Sir! I just picked up a disturbance at the volcano! Something has interacted with the Pogenitor Decay!" Narwhal checked his surveillance in the area to see what was going on.

"What’s happening?" The handsome man asked.

"It’s him!"

"Him? That’s the guy whom you mistook for Nemean’s blood, correct?"

Narwhal nodded.

"Sir, look at this! He dipped his hand into the progenitor decay and came out perfectly fine!"

"What?!" The handsome man looked at the footage, not believing his eyes. "Is this source a failure?!"

"No. Look at his companion. She was infected by it. Mortals, no matter how strong they are, can survive the effects of the decay. But this guy was not only affected, but also managed to prevent the energy from consuming her. This can only mean one thing."

The handsome man grinned, but there was also an intense anger riddled on his face. "He’s the blood of Nemean!"

"He lied to me! But why couldn’t I feel his blood earlier?" Narwhal remembered that Kai didn’t feel like a blood of Nemean.

"He’s mortal. Heh, haha, HAHAHAHA! He’s a fucking mortal! Quickly, is the Lion Locket’s power still shielding that area?"

Narwhal confirmed that it was.

"Quickly! We need to take action. After so many years, this is the first time we’ve found a light at the end of the tunnel."

---

"Leo? How many times do I have to call you, man? You’re supposed to be omnipresent. Jeez." Kai recognized that the lava wasn’t actually lava, but Progenitor Decay.

He needed to tell Leo what was happening because he knew this wasn’t something that should be on this island, no, this world.

"Cassie! Mother! Can you hear me? Dude, what the fuck is going on in the universe that makes you two not hear me? Aquaphina, come down here."

Aquaphina arrived, but when she did, she was badly beaten up to the point where it looked like she was dying.

"K-Kai! R-Run! Call your parents and run. They’re coming!"

"Slow down. Who’s coming?"

"It’s your...."

A sonic boom cut off her speech, deafening anyone who heard the loud sound. Two dots were coming toward Kai and Aquaphina so fast that he barely had any time to react to them.

But before contact, Kai teleported the goddess away and was then tackled to the ground, tearing right through the surface and into the island’s crust before entering the ocean.

"You shouldn’t have lied to me, little neamean cub!" Narwhal held Kai by the throat as he dragged him deeper and deeper under water.

On instinct, Kai’s gills activated, allowing him to breathe underwater. "You! You’re the one who made me hurt my family! You’ll pay for that!" Kai’s energy erupted into a storm, breaking out of Narwhal’s clutches and uppercutting him so hard that the shockwave destroyed rocks under the ocean.

’First, I have to find the others.’ Kai blasted out of the water and flew back toward the island, only to be punched in the face by the second guy.

"Arghh!" He slammed into the water as if it were land, bouncing on it like a skidding rock, but eventually regained his footing, standing on top of the water.

"Hahaha! After all these years, my search has brought me to you. Who would have thought?" The handsome man looked pleased to see Kai.

"Who the fuck are you?" Kai was keeping an eye out for Narwhal, but he was nowhere to be seen. Then, Kai felt something that he hadn’t felt in a long time: blood.

’These guys are strong enough to make me bleed? This isn’t the time to be playing around then.’

"Listen, if you come with us, then we won’t harm you. However, if you decide to fight back, then we will destroy this planet. And because you’re mortal, none of your siblings will be able to help you."

"Siblings? I’m an only child."

The handsome man was confused. He checked his radar, and all of the signals that led to the other nemean children were gone. ’A tactic to make us paranoid?’

He laughed. "You’re good, child of Nemean, but you shouldn’t have given us that unformation. Now that we know you’re alone, we don’t have to finish you off quickly."

"If you think that I’ll go down quickly, then you’re mistaken." Kai once more powered up to maximum, this time, using everything he had. His body was blanketed in destruction and creation energy, and his eyes were glowing red.

"Tell me, how do you want to die?"

The handsome man laughed. "Don’t act cool. It will only make you look worse when you’re beaten."

"Then let’s see who will eat their words first!" Kai wasted no time, rocketing toward the handsome man to give him a piece of his power.

The handsome man responded in kind, flying down toward Kai and winding back his arm for a punch.

Their fists connected, and a catastrophic explosion ensued, tearing the sky apart. The result, Kai’s entire arm was shattered.

"Arghhhhhh!"

"Hahaha! Fool!" The handsome man grabbed Kai by the hair, punching him in the face.

Narwhal flew out of the ocean, kicking Kai in the back, and the handsome man followed up with a spinning kick to the face.

"KAI! GUYS! WE HAVE TO HELP HIM!" All of Kai’s girls sprang into action, giving it their all to aid their man.

"Heh, cute. Mortals risking their lives for their lovers. Narwhal, end them."

"Got it." Before he could act, a clone of Kai teleported in front of him and blasted him away with heatvision. Then three more clones jumped the handsome man.

"Kai!"

"Girls, get out of here. These guys, they can hurt me. They aren’t from this world. Not even Aquaphina was able to do anything to them."

"No! We will fight with you!" Gwen wasn’t going to abandon him.

"Right. I’ll die by your side!" Amaya had Kai’s back no matter what.

"If you fight, we fight." Sasha took out her hammer.

But before the rest could speak up, Kai smiled. "Thanks, but this isn’t your fight, and I’m not ready to lose any of you." He sent them all back to Sarkylla. But not just them. He also sent Cornelia, Patty, Iris, Abigail, Serena, and Elyn back to Sarkylla.

He also made sure to lock his pocket dimensions so they couldn’t access it either. He wasn’t going to have them get hurt again.

"Now, let’s party!"
