Chapter 341: The duel of honor
For around an hour, Kai and Kirlia sat on the couch together, enjoying each other’s company while he had his hand on her belly, rubbing his growing baby. She told him of the things that happened during the time he was gone, which wasn’t much.
Still, it was nice to be with each other after months apart.
"Kirlia, there’s a letter from Janna that came for you." Ian entered the room to see Kirlia in Kai’s arms and his hand rubbing her belly.
Instantly, without even thinking, he charged at Kai, pulling a spear out of nowhere and attacking him.
Kai grabbed the spearhead, then tossed Ian out of the window, where he fell to two stories but landed on his feet, as he was a Tier-8 warrior.
"I knew this would happen." Kirlia chuckled.
Kai gave her a kiss. "I’ll be right back." He jumped out of the window, fixing it before he landed in front of Ian.
"You! You’re the bastard who impregnated my wife!" Ian was so furious that his mana was exploding from his body.
"Sure am. Felt good as fuck too. The way her tongue entered my mouth, the softness of her big boobs, and that firm, thick ass she has were so amazing that I had to put a baby in her. Your daughter is next."
"Fucking bastard! Keep your hands off my daughter!" Ian charged in again, thrusting his spear toward Kai’s chest, attempting to stab him in the heart.
Moving quicker than Ian can react, Kai dodged all of the attacks, striking goofy faces to clown with Ian. He thought it was funny seeing Ian give it his all, only to miss every time.
It wasn’t like Ian was a horrible fighter, either. The guy was a war general and could lead an army. His martial prowess was recognized by the king, and Ian led the charge against the demons to drive them out, even though he ended up being captured.
"Is this the way you thank your savior?"
"You’re no savior of mine! You’re a homewrecker!"
Kai couldn’t deny that. "You’re absolutely right!" He grabbed the spear, pulled it toward him, then kneed Ian in the face, knocking him into multiple pillars.
Kai casually strolled over to Ian, fixing the pillars along the way. To his left was someone he found familiar. "Hector? Is that you?"
"Ngh! N-No! Stay back! AHHHHH!" He ran away.
"What’s up with that guy?"
A slash of mana tore through the air as it made its way toward Kai. The slash was so powerful that it could slice through nearly anything, but against Kai, it simply dissipated when it came in contact with his aura.
Kai smirked, looking at Ian with a crooked expression. "Well, that’s not nice."
"E-Even if you’re the hero, I will not tolerate the disrespect you’ve put me through! My daughter was supposed to marry Hector! But now she’s infatuated with you! And to make matters worse, you got my wife pregnant!"
"You said the last part already."
"FUCK OFF!"
"Listen, man. You were gone. Your wife needed comfort, and she found it with my big fat—"
"SHUT UP!" Ian’s spear spun extremely fast, charging buttloads of mana. His expression was mangled by his anger, and veins were popping out of his head. "I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
With a single thrust, he used his most powerful attack. The beam of supercharged mana destroyed the area as it traveled toward Kai. If this were anyone else, they would be in for a pickle trying to defend an attack like this, but to Kai, this was like a fly trying to punch him in the face.
So, just like a fly, he swatted the attack out of the way.
"W-What?!"
"W-What?" Kai mocked, chuckling as he walked toward Ian.
"S-Stay back!"
"So it’s fine if you want to kill me, but when it doesn’t work, I have to stay back? That’s not fair." Kai kept walking toward the scared man.
Ian tried to run away, but his body betrayed him. He couldn’t move; his body was shaking, and fear crept up his spine.
"You, Ian Gryff..." Kai raised his hand.
Ian flinched, but he only felt Kai’s hand touch his shoulder.
"Need to be hypnotized." So, Kai hypnotized him and made everything as it should have been. Now, instead of being angry that his wife slept with another man, he would praise her for having the child of the hero.
"S-Sir Kai! I’m so sorry for attacking you! I don’t know what came over me! Please forgive my incompetence!"
"Haha! Don’t worry, Ian. It was just some lingering demonic energy in your mind that was making you act differently. But I expelled it, so you will be fine now." Kai loved lying.
"T-Thank you so much! You’re always welcome at my home!"
"Sweet." Kai fixed the destruction, then teleported back to Kirlia and told her everything, minus the hypnosis.
"Are you leaving?" She asked
"Yup. I have other things to take care of. I’ll see you some other time." He gave her access to his pocket dimensions, then teleported to Qasyran.
"Argh! fucking colorful city! Why is everything golden?!" Kai walked inside the city, forgetting that he could have just teleported inside the church.
Of course, people recognized him and flocked his way, wanting to get a blessing from him. Since Kai was a demigod now, he had divine power, so he waved his hand, and everyone was blessed with good luck for the next year.
"S-Sir Kai. It is an honor to see you again!" A knight who guarded the church bowed to Kai.
"Nice to see you too." Kai walked inside to see that a sermon was going on. Standing on the stage was Celeste, preaching about the grace of Gracia and how Kai was chosen by her to not only save them from the demon king, but spread his seed around since he was the chosen one.
"And he blessed not only me, but Madam Madelyn with a Holy Child." She rubbed her belly, and Madelyn, who was next to her, did so as well.
"Praise, Kai!" Madelyn shouted
"PRAISE KAI!" The nuns and priestesses shouted back.
