Chapter 336: It’s time for a teaching lesson
"Okay, girls, listen up. If you want to be the best, then you have to strive for it! You have to put in the blood, sweat, and tears into it! And let me tell you the most important thing you need to do when you’re striving to be the best. SYNERGY!"
Kai was currently giving a lesson to his daughters in a room he created for educational purposes. Each of them was sitting in their own seats, watching their father point to a chalkboard with the word ’Synergy’ written on it.
"You see, girls, some of your mothers don’t like this word, but that’s because they’re weak. They’re scared of the true power that comes with learning Synergy, and they will do anything they can to avoid it."
He took their silence as a sign of them listening.
"There’s also something else you must learn, the art of starting at the bottom. Now, what is this art? Well, I’m glad you asked. Take me, your father, for example. I was already strong enough to become an adventurer when I was a hunter, but I didn’t become one right away. I worked my way from the lowest hunter rank to the highest hunter rank, and then killed the primal beasts to be recognized as a primal hunter. After that, I was allowed to become a D-Rank adventurer, but I declined, becoming an F-Rank instead."
Kai felt proud of his actions, remembering the old days.
"After reaching S-Rank, the highest Adventurer rank, we, your mothers and I, became mercenaries. We started at the bottom again, but one day, we were allowed to get a promotion, and when I tried to decline, they jumped me and forced the receptionist to make us the highest rank. It was humiliating!"
One of the girls started to cry.
"Thank you! I was upset as well. Here, drink some milk." Kai made a bottle of milk float in front of her, and she started drinking from it.
"But anyway. The whole point of this lesson is to make sure you always have synergy and start at the lower ranks to build yourself up, since it looks good on your resúme. Any questions?"
All of his girls just looked at him with confusion since they had no clue what the fuck he was talking about. After all, they were only one month old.
"That’s fine. You can ask questions when you’re older."
’Hey, main me, I got the house.’
’Really? That’s great!’
Kai had sent a clone to Eridani to get a house for his girls in that land. He got maids as well to manage things and even told all of his girls on the continent about it. He didn’t have that many girls on Eridani compared to Sarkylla, but he knew that would change in the future.
"Hey, Kai, we’re back from shopping." When all of his girls entered the room he was in, Kai froze.
"W-What are you guys doing back home so early?! Y-You said you’ll be out for three hours! It’s only been one and a half!"
"Kai, please don’t tell me you’re trying to teach our daughters about synergy." Kyana nearly lost it.
"Whattt? Heh, no! Why would I...ha, that’s stupid. I wouldn’t teach them about..."
"Guys, look." Gwen walked forward. "It says that they should start at the lowest rank even if their power is higher than it. He’s trying to mold them into being like him!"
Kai ran out of the house, jumping out of the window and into the wilderness.
"Fucking dumbass. Come on, girls, that’s enough time with daddy, how about you spend some time with your mommies?"
---
"What do you plan on doing next, Kai?" It was currently nighttime, and all of the kids were put to bed. Laura was leaning on his shoulder, and Martha was lying on his lap as she asked that question.
"Well. I do plan on going to the other continents soon. Our next destination is Astalith, the land of the Sun. I have no idea what that place will be like, but I can’t wait. Oh, I should also take you all to Eridani as well, huh?"
"Really? You’ll take us?" Vanira got really excited at the thought of traveling to another continent.
"Yeah. Well, you all can travel there whenever you want. I’ve connected a pocket dimension to my house there so you all can travel whenever you want."
"Vacation time, girls! Pack your swimsuits!"
All of them pulled out a swimsuit.
’What the hell? When did they all get swimsuits?’
"I bet Kai’s wondering when we got these swimsuits. We got them when you were on the other continent. We were going to ask you to take us there. Cornelia told us that there are tons of beaches there." Kassandra was already dressed in her swimsuit. She wasn’t playing at all.
"Wow, you guys are serious." Kai didn’t mind taking them, but he expected them to want to rest up and focus on the children before going on a vacation.
"Dear, can I take my child back to my parents? This is their first grandchild?" Mary asked, slightly shy.
"Sure. I don’t mind. If any of you want to do that as well, then you can."
"Ha, I don’t!" Vanira laughed.
"Neither do I." Laura laughed as well.
"Where are my grandbabies?"
"WOAHHHH!" Everyone jumped back when Cassie appeared out of nowhere.
"What the hell, man? Don’t just pop out of nowhere like that." Kai nearly had a heart attack.
"Uhh, Kai, who is this?" They all asked.
"Oh, right, none of you guys met her. Well, everyone, meet my mother, Cassieopeia, or Cassie for short. She’s the second being in existence and is a Primordial Diety, the highest level of divinity in existence.
Cassie smiled, liking how Kai introduced her.
"What about me?" Leo asked
"God dammit, man! Announce when you’ll be arriving!"
"But you’re used to me arriving out of nowhere."
"Yeah, after you speak to me in my head, not just when you pop out like a fucking poptart from the toaster when you forget you put it in there in the first place."
Vanira raised her hand. "Uhh, what’s a poptart?"
"And toaster!" Amaya added
"Don’t worry about it. But guys, this is my father, Leo, the first being in existence and the man who created...everything. Like literally everything. Oh, he’s also a dumbass."
"Come on, bro!"
