Chapter 487: 483, Don’t you know what I want to do?
We must admit Ewan Zimmerman’s efficiency. An hour later, the doorbell to Titus Zane’s room rang.
Thinking it was the hotel lunch service coming to clean up, he didn’t bother to check and simply opened the door.
Seeing the stern man standing before the door, Titus Zane paused, one hand still clutching the doorknob.
"You... how did you get here?" And, how did he know I was staying at this hotel?
Nathan Moore glanced down at Titus Zane, then strode past her into the room, heading straight for the wardrobe. Without a word, he took out a suitcase, placed it on the bed, and began packing clothes into it.
Titus Zane followed, "Nathan Moore! What are you doing?"
The man with the fierce face glanced at her and continued to ignore her, packing clothes into the suitcase.
"Nathan Moore, stop it, what are you doing..." In desperation, Titus Zane tried to intervene, but Nathan Moore caught her wrist and pulled her into his embrace.
As their eyes met, Nathan Moore said, "Don’t you know what I want to do?"
Titus Zane...
She knew he wanted her to move into his house, but—
"That’s the home you and Lily share. If I move back in, people will talk again."
Just like three years ago, the perverted relationship among the three of them had become the laughingstock of T city’s high society over after-dinner conversations.
"It won’t be for much longer." Nathan Moore held Titus Zane’s gaze as he spoke.
Titus Zane frowned, not understanding, "What do you mean?"
Nathan Moore repeated patiently, "I said, it won’t be mine and Lily’s home much longer."
"Why?" A strong premonition surged through her heart, but Titus Zane didn’t dare to believe it and so, she asked again.
"Because," Nathan Moore circled his arms around Titus Zane’s waist, looking down with seriousness, "once I sort out these matters at hand, I’ll go to the Zane Family and declare that the person I married back then was you, not Lily."
Breathing became difficult, and Titus Zane could hardly trust her own ears.
She admitted, she was a woman who said one thing and meant another. Her heart was already leaping with joy, yet she still disingenuously said, "Nathan Moore, what joke is this? The wedding between you and Lily years ago, the whole T city knows."
The wedding of Nathan Moore and Olivia Zane years ago had invited the whole high society of T city. With Nicholas Croft, a mogul in the entertainment industry, helping out, even the wedding video was done by professional photographers.
The flowers, the motorcade, were nothing short of luxurious.
Afterwards, it became the talk of the town; the lavish T city wedding was compared to a world-class limited-edition car show...
He now claimed that the sensational wedding that rocked T city back then was not with his sister Olivia Zane.
"But in the end, the one who got into the wedding car was you."
From the side, Nathan Moore’s handsome features softened, his thin lips unwittingly curved up.
In their entwined gazes, Titus Zane saw her reflection in Nathan Moore’s eyes.
"But..." Her heart felt stifled, biting her lip, Titus Zane’s speech was somewhat incoherent, "I was just afraid that there would be no bride at the wedding and the outside world would laugh, so I took Lily’s place."
Nathan Moore leaned his handsome face closer, his broad forehead touching hers, "But in the end, the one who received the Priest’s blessing was you." This was something Nathan Moore had mentioned more than once since his return.
Titus Zane wrinkled her nose, looking quite displeased, "Even though I was the one who received the Priest’s blessing, who has a wedding with only the bride present!"
Nathan Moore raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes twinkling as if filled with thousands of tiny, shattered stars, glittering and so captivating that one could not look away.
"Are you blaming me for not standing by your side back then? After this busy period, we’ll make up for it on our vacation together."
