Chapter 485: The capacity to ruin is greater than the capacity to create.
Titus Zane still refused Ariana Evans’s invitation and left the hospital on his own to take a ride away, not joining Olivia Zane back to the villa.
Colt Thornton was still in the hospital, and with Nathan Moore intervening, she believed he would not come to bother her again.
Her cell phone had been smashed by Colt Thornton; she needed to buy a new one.
First, she bought a mask and glasses at a mall, and fully armed her face with them, passersby even thought she was a celebrity, and some even sneakily took photos with their phones.
She was wearing clothes left at Nathan Moore’s place from three years ago, thinking she had already retired and should save from now on, Titus Zane did not purchase new clothes.
After choosing a new cell phone and getting a SIM card replacement at the electronics counter, Titus Zane then went back to the hotel she was staying at.
After returning, she called Jon, and although Jon said the injury was not serious, he had been in the hospital for over ten days. Hearing that Titus Zane wanted to visit him in Capital City, Jon was very excited, repeatedly asking her to fly over right away, and only stopped after hearing Titus Zane would book a flight two days later.
Meanwhile, at this time, Olivia Zane returned to the villa and called her mother Ariana Evans.
"Mom, did the test results come out? How did it go, do they match?"
"My child, how many times have I reminded you, you’re just too impatient, it’s not going to be that fast, do you think the hospital is owned by you!"
On the phone, Ariana Evans scolded disapprovingly, but Olivia Zane disagreed nonchalantly, "Mom, aren’t you a doctor yourself, can’t you do the test on your own?"
"Nonsense! Each department has its own rules. I’m not in hematology; going into their territory would surely provoke outrage, wouldn’t it?"
"Mom, when will the results be out, I’m anxious!" Olivia Zane cooed at her mother through the phone.
"No matter how anxious, the outcome won’t arrive till the afternoon!" Ariana Evans reprimanded again with displeasure, then asked, "Did she go back with you?"
"No, she took a ride by herself." Olivia Zane, scolded by her mother, was in a bad mood and replied unhappily.
"Where did she go, do you know?"
"I’m not her nanny, how would I know!"
"You child! Saying you’re brainless and yet you refuse to admit it, now you don’t even know which hotel she’s staying at, where will you go looking for her when the time comes!"
Ariana Evans was frustrated as if vexed by her daughter’s incompetence, worried that Titus Zane might leave without notice again, and Dr. Smith would come only to be met with disappointment.
"It’s not difficult, just mention it to Nathan, he knows so many friends, to find someone would be a piece of cake!"
Olivia Zane retorted indifferently, and on the other end, Ariana Evans was infuriated by her daughter’s foolish action.
Having planned carefully for over two decades, the more people that know, the higher the risk. Even her husband Julian Zane had always been kept in the dark—although he insisted repeatedly that if that unfilial daughter was put under the knife for her heart, he may not continue to speak so defiantly if things get real.
After all, she was his biological daughter.
Standing in the fire escape, Ariana Evans closed her eyes, rubbing her constantly heaving chest, angered by Olivia Zane.
"Mom, why aren’t you talking?"
"Talk! What else is there to talk about! You’re a girl who’s only good at messing things up!" If she weren’t her own daughter, she wouldn’t bother anymore.
"Call Nathan Moore now and tell him Titus Zane has gone back to the hotel!" Ariana Evans instructed over the phone.
"Mom, didn’t you tell me to drive her out? Now she’s gone herself, saving me the trouble, and if Nathan finds out, he will have to search all over the world for her."
Olivia Zane still didn’t comprehend her mother’s intent, and another scolding came through the phone.
"We need Nathan Moore to find her! Otherwise, what should we do? Should your father send someone to look?"
