Chapter 324: 320, there’s no need to throw yourself into my arms with this approach, just speak up directly.
"Fancy coming out now?" He took a drag of his cigarette and as he exhaled the smoke, Nathan Moore’s voice rang out. Under the dim street light, it was hard to tell if the slight lift of his eyes was one of triumph or mockery.
"Nathan Moore, let’s talk." Standing in front of him, Titus Zane slightly raised his face, trying his best to remain composed.
"Yo, why not call me brother-in-law anymore?" With another puff of smoke, Nathan Moore’s tone was frivolous, and the look in his eyes as they swept over her carried the same sentiment.
"Nathan Moore, ah..." Taking another deep breath, Titus Zane just opened his mouth when suddenly he let out a shocked cry.
Because his shadow had quickly descended on her lips, blocking not just the words she wanted to say, but also her breath.
The kiss was domineering and passionate. His hand gripped the back of her head and, along with her back, she could feel the warmly tingling sensation of his palm rubbing over the thin fabric.
But Titus Zane was in no mood to enjoy it. Her mind was entirely focused on not letting this man ruin her plans, not letting him reveal her identity.
With her full attention on her defensive tension, Titus Zane somehow ignored the fact that they were under a street lamp, right in front of a car with its hazard lights on, and inside the vehicle, there was still a driver present.
After the kiss ended, Nathan Moore pulled back slightly, one hand still locked around Titus Zane’s lower back while the other, still holding the cigarette between its fingers, brought it to his lips for a drag. The sarcasm was clear in his eyes as he exhaled the smoke.
"Care to comment – between me and that guy, whose skills are better?"
"What?" Titus Zane raised her hand, gently soothing her swollen lips with her fingertips, her eyes filled with confusion.
Nathan Moore took another drag, the swirling smoke slowly enveloping Titus Zane’s face.
His lips curled into a skewed smile. He steadied Titus Zane’s shoulders, turned his handsome face towards hers, and whispered seductively in her ear, his voice deliberately slowed, though the words were recklessly crude.
"What I mean is, in bed, who can satisfy you more – me or that man?"
With a bang, something exploded in her brain. Instinctively, Titus Zane pushed the man in front of her, stepping back, her delicate face reddening from his words.
"Nathan Moore! You shameless man!"
Poor Titus Zane, even on the edge of anger, could only come up with such words. Her upbringing, the environment she was exposed to, prohibited her from uttering anything more vulgar.
Meeting her defensive and angry eyes, Nathan Moore remained indifferent, bringing the cigarette to his lips once more. As he elegantly stepped forward, Titus Zane subconsciously continued to move back, maintaining a safe distance between them.
He spoke carelessly, "Hm, I’m shameless indeed – I care for guts, not faces."
After another drag, watching Titus Zane with a half-smile, he said, "These days, those who care for face are only stifling themselves."
Titus Zane...
Was it her who misunderstood, or were his words inherently crude?
She never knew that not only did this man have a thick skin, but he was also a beast in human clothing!
On the surface, a well-dressed gentleman with a gentle demeanor, but his words...
Just thinking about them could make one’s cheeks flush and heart race.
As Nathan Moore advanced once more, Titus Zane backed away again, concentrating all her mind on guarding against him, not noticing the terrain underfoot.
With an unsteady heel, and an "ouch" as she swayed, she started falling backwards, but then—
Her waist was suddenly gripped tightly, encircled by Nathan Moore’s strong arms. Another wisp of smoke slowly hit her face before she could react, and a sinister voice burrowed into her ear, accompanied by a light sigh tinged with amusement.
"You don’t have to resort to throwing yourself at me like this, speaking up will do!"
