"Stop fussing, once we finish dinner I’ll take you back, otherwise even if you call a friend to pick you up, their car will have to wait a few kilometers away."

Then, without giving Titus Zane a chance to speak, he pulled her in, while Max Locke, sitting on the sofa, also stood up and interjected at the right time.

"Emma, instruct the kitchen to start the meal, we need to get going after eating."

Having said that, he led the way to the dining room.

Forced to come here, now she was being forced to the dining table as well.

At the table, aside from the old master whose face didn’t look too good, everyone else was very enthusiastic.

Emma Reynolds was using the serving chopsticks to pile food onto Titus Zane’s plate non-stop; looking at the mountain of food in front of her, Titus Zane was not at all moved but rather seemed indifferent.

"Thank you, you don’t need to look after me, I don’t have a big appetite."

Titus Zane’s words seemed polite and courteous but did not hide her aloofness.

"Mom, are you feeding a pig!" Alder Locke chided unhappily, then pulled the plate of bones in front of Titus Zane over to himself and devoured it in a few bites.

"This child!" Emma Reynolds said helplessly, while the old Mr. Locke just harrumphed coldly.

Max Locke glanced at his father; although his father’s behavior was inappropriate, he was still an elder after all.

He then looked towards his son and said in a serious tone, "Alder, it’s the first time you’ve brought a girlfriend home, you should at least take care of her."

"Dad, how do you know I’m not taking care of her." Alder Locke raised an eyebrow, understanding that he had essentially passed this test with his father, and as for his mother, she was clearly one hundred percent in favor. As for his grandfather, the old-fashioned man, he would just have to take it slow.

Turning to look at Titus Zane who was only symbolically eating some rice, Alder Locke said, "Don’t be constrained, just ignore them as if they were transparent. Eat what you like, and if you don’t like it, I’ll take you out to eat later."

"This cheeky kid, watch your language." Emma Reynolds sneaked a glance at the old master’s expression and frowned disapprovingly at her son.

"I’m speaking the truth!"

Alder Locke said pointedly to the old master, then used his own chopsticks to pick some green bamboo shoots and celery for Titus Zane’s plate.

It had to be acknowledged that this frivolous heir was actually quite considerate, noticing that Titus Zane was only picking up vegetables and therefore refraining from adding any meat to her plate.

Looking at the greens placed in her bowl, Titus Zane hesitated for a moment but didn’t pick them out.

After dinner, Titus Zane stood up, "Can I be taken back now?"

Alder Locke stood up, siding with Titus Zane, "Dad, Mom, Grandpa, now that you’ve seen my girlfriend, you can’t force me to go on blind dates anymore!"

"Alright, alright, no one is forcing you on blind dates." Seeing her son’s serious demeanor, Emma Reynolds laughed helplessly.

And Mr. Locke harrumphed coldly again, turning his face away to express his dissatisfaction.

"Grandpa, Mom, Dad, I’m going to take Titus Zane back now," Alder Locke said, about to turn around, but his father called out to him.

Max Locke stood up, his stern face adorned with irrefutable authority.

"No need for you to send her, I’m heading back to the unit anyway, she can ride in my car."

"Thank you."

"Dad!" Both Alder Locke and Titus Zane spoke up at the same time; Titus Zane did not want to ride in this jerk’s car again, and Alder Locke wore a look of grievance.

It was not easy to get more time with the beauty, and now his father was stripping it away.

As if seeing through his son’s thoughts, Max Locke gave him a cold glance and sternly said, "Stay home and talk with your grandpa, there will be plenty of opportunities to be together in the future!"

Having said this, he turned his head to look at Titus Zane, and although his expression was still stern, his tone was notably softer.

"Let’s go, it’s about time for you to start work."

Seeing Max Locke stride towards the door, Titus Zane nodded slightly to everyone and followed him out.
