Chapter 393: The charm of lifelike perfection

Watching Titus Zane’s satisfied expression, Nathan Moore felt that his own likeness, as drawn by her, must be like a handsome and elegant figure standing amidst wind-swept willows, stunningly dashing, even if not reversing the admiration of all beings, at least causing nations to fall and cities to surrender.

Just as he propped himself up to get out of bed and take a look, Titus Zane had already risen from the floor, walked to the front of the bed and turned around to hand over her proud masterpiece to Nathan Moore.

"Look, isn’t the essence of the portrait lifelike?"

With great anticipation, Nathan Moore reached out to take it and saw the "himself" in the painting, and his handsome face darkened.

He thrust the portrait back in front of Titus Zane and asked with a cold tone,

"Are you sure this is my portrait?"

"Mmm-hmm!" With a very proud raised eyebrow, Titus Zane was for the first time in her life so content with her own artwork.

Raising her hand, with her slender index finger, she pointed at the eyes of the figure in the painting.

"Don’t just look at the surface, look at the spirit!

You see, here, here, and here!" Titus Zane pointed out the eyes, the corners of the mouth, and the small handkerchief being directed by her finger in the painting, "Doesn’t it look very expressive?"

Nathan Moore...

If he really were the Miss J in that portrait, he would indeed find it expressive!

Those flirtatious eyes, the slightly coquettish smile at the corners of the lips, and most vivid of all, that little handkerchief being swung around in the hands of the woman on the couch, waving non-stop at the passing men. Even without subtitles, he could imagine it—Miss J is soliciting customers, "Come on, sir, let this servant girl relieve you of your boredom..."

Damn woman, in what way does he resemble a Miss J?

How dare she depict him like this!

The most infuriating part was that the Miss J’s facial features in the painting indeed had his essence; with eyebrows like sharp swords and starry eyes. If it weren’t for the garish and gaudy dress and that disgusting little handkerchief, he might actually believe it was his own portrait.

He had just been feeling guilty, thinking of himself as having stifled a future master of oil painting.

Thinking about it now, it’s good that he stifled it early; otherwise, if released, who knows how many innocents might be harmed.

Lucky for him, he encountered a customer with a good temper like himself. Had it been someone with a nasty temper, having a suave young man painted as a Miss J, wouldn’t they end up in court suing her for defamation and sullying their reputation!

With a cold laugh, Nathan Moore’s obsidian-like eyes held a hint of danger, his expression one of ambiguous amusement, as he asked once more,

"Are you sure this is really me?"

Titus Zane’s gaze was still on her own masterpiece, completely oblivious to the impending danger, her smiling eyes unable to hide her pride as she explained attentively.

"Of course, you looked just like this just now, with a face like peach blossoms and eyes brimming with the promise of spring. However, I added this handkerchief based on your demeanor to make the artwork livelier; it’s much more expressive with this added..."

"You think I resemble a Miss J?" The danger in Nathan Moore’s voice intensified, Titus Zane turned her head, looking at the man beside her, "You had just that kind of expression."

Nathan Moore’s obsidian-like eyes narrowed dangerously, and suddenly he chuckled, his well-defined fingers assumed the pose of Orchid Fingers, grabbing Titus Zane’s fair wrist, smiling coquettishly, and raised his voice to say,

"Esteemed sir, are you feeling tired? Let this humble girl help alleviate your boredom..."

Titus Zane shuddered, feeling a chill run through her body, looking at Nathan Moore’s "cheap" act, she withdrew her wrist and hugged her shoulders, her lips curled in disgust, "You’re really gross."

Suddenly, Nathan Moore’s flirtatious smile disappeared, and he gritted his teeth and said, "Damn it! You also know what’s disgusting! Since you’ve imagined me as a Miss J, now let this Miss J entertain you and relieve your boredom!"

Before Titus Zane could react, Nathan Moore pounced like a hungry tiger, pinning her down onto the bed, his large hands reaching straight for her nightgown.
