Chapter 421: God Ruins (Part-1)

His breakthrough needed a lot of spiritual energy that ordinary void gods did not have; hence, Apollo had to use his power to divert a large amount of spiritual energy, but thanks to the improvement of Rion as a whole, it was much easier.

Arthur’s body trembled violently as the energy poured into him, yet his physique resonated in perfect harmony with the law of space. What should have been an overwhelming burden instead became fuel for transformation.

Moments later, the storm of energy calmed. Only then did he open his eyes. He was a bit shocked, as he didn’t expect there would be so many surprises.

Not only had his comprehension of the Law of Space reached perfection, brushing against the very threshold of the Rule, but his cultivation had also surged forward—shattering the barrier he had struggled against and propelling him into the Void God Realm.

It was a double breakthrough, the kind that could alter the fate of any warrior entirely.

He was feeling a bit suppressed before, but now he was kind of excited, as this might be a really great chance.

"Not bad, you improved your comprehension and even made a breakthrough. So it would be easier for you to survive the future dangers of Rion."

"Now that your breakthrough is complete," Apollo continued, his tone shifting to one of command, "there are things you must do. From this moment, you are no longer a lone genius. You are a pillar of the Immortal Order. And pillars carry responsibility."

Arthur straightened unconsciously, listening intently.

"You will spread your influence quietly," Apollo instructed. "Find those with potential, those who can grow into more than weapons of the powerful clans. Offer them the same choice I gave you."

Arthur nodded solemnly. "I understand. I’ll carry it out."

Apollo’s gaze lingered on him for a moment, sharp as a blade yet filled with quiet certainty. "Good."

After giving and saying some things, he left Arthur. He was going to be in closed-door training for some time, as he was going to the Necros Continent with the Princes of the Sacred Light Empire.

He needed to improve as much as possible in such a short time. He is therefore going to focus on improving his cultivation rank to peak true god.

Although it isn’t much time, he became a true god, but he didn’t have any bottleneck until the eternal god peak realm because of his understanding of various rules. He just needed to consume resources, which thankfully he has quite a lot of.

He quickly returned to Fletcher Castle and went in for closed-door training, while the continent of Rion continued to birth new ancient secrets and mysteries.

A few months passed, and he knew awakened ancient forces rose from their deep slumbers.

Awakened warriors emerged one after another, their strength shaking the foundations of cities and kingdoms. Where once a Void God had stood at the very pinnacle of mortal achievement, they now became a common sight—seen walking freely even in mid-sized cities. In the great capitals, the pressure of True Gods became something people grew accustomed to enduring.

The very structure of power was rewriting itself.

Yesterday’s peak was today’s stepping stone. Yesterday’s rulers found themselves eclipsed by powers thought long dead.

And the world whispered: this moment was only the beginning.

Far away, somewhere deep within the Necros Continent, a land where death itself lingered in the air, the ground was steeped in desolation. The soil was blackened with dried blood, and the scent of slaughter clung to every gust of wind.

It was here, amid this wasteland, that a group of figures gathered in silence.

Shadows cloaked their forms, their auras heavy and unnatural. The very atmosphere warped around them, as though the world recoiled from their presence.

They did not need words. The killing intent that flowed between them was enough to make the land itself tremble.

A hush fell over the gathered figures. The one who spoke drew a long, rasping breath that seemed to drink in the death wind itself.

"Finally, the time has come; ’God Ruins’ will finally open. We have to get that; otherwise, it will be difficult to implement the master’s plan."

Around him, the cloaked silhouettes shifted. Lantern flames guttered as if in answer; skull-marked banners trembled on silent poles. A chill climbed the spines of the few who dared look at the cracked horizon, where a distant line of black light slithered through the sky like a wound.

"No mistakes," another murmured, fingers tracing a faded sigil on his gauntlet. "Last time we waited, but this time we move as one—swift, silent, and merciless."

Outside, the land itself answered—an eddy of black fog poured from a rift in the sky, and the air tasted of iron and old bone. Beneath that roiling canopy, ancient stones far to the north trembled, and long-buried glyphs faintly flared as if waking from a nightmare.

"Prepare your offerings," the shadowy woman among the group ordered.

While this group of mysterious people were preparing, the warriors from all over the Rion were also starting to move towards the central continent of Necros.

Apollo, who was in closed-door training, also came out from his closed-door training.

His eyes opened slowly, and with that single motion, the stillness shattered.

"Looks like it’s time to leave," he murmured, voice low yet carrying the weight of inevitability.

For an instant, he didn’t control his aura fully, and it leaked.

The sky above Rion rippled as though struck by an unseen hand, clouds scattering in silence. The continent’s grand seal—once dormant, now strong enough to suppress even a Peak Eternal God—shuddered violently, as if ready to descend in judgement upon the anomaly.

Apollo exhaled, and the fluctuation vanished, the sky returning to its fragile calm. A smile appeared on his face as, through this closed-door training, he was able to achieve his goal and reach the peak of the true god realm.

Right now he is many times stronger than before and has greater confidence to face the unknown dangers on the Necros Continent.

"It’s time to meet with the crown prince." He then slowly came out of his room and was ready to go to the capital of the Sacred Light Empire.
