Chapter 158: Chapter 155: As Long as It Makes Mr. Rong Happy, I’m Fine with Anything
Hmm...
Not only were Fang Jingyi and her sister shocked, but even Jin Jumo herself was slightly taken aback by these words. She then gently curled her lips, smiling sweetly at Rong Mochen.
Rong Mochen slightly furrowed his brows, walked briskly from the doorway, and as he passed by Fang Jingyi and her sister, he didn’t pause for a moment. "Aunt Yu, please serve two cups of hot tea for the two ladies."
"Okay." Yu Huihua quickly responded and took two young maids to the kitchen to make tea.
"Mochen, it’s not yet time to leave the company, why are you back?" Fang Jingyi frowned, seemingly displeased with Rong Mochen’s "lack of professionalism."
Rong Mochen, unsure if he heard her, walked straight toward Jin Jumo, sat down next to her, took her hand in his large palm, and softly asked, "Did you have the bird’s nest porridge I asked Aunt Yu to make for you this morning?"
"Since Mr. Rong personally ordered it, how could I not eat it?" Jin Jumo said with arched eyebrows, placing her other hand on Rong Mochen’s hand, smiling brightly.
Rong Mochen narrowed his eyes slightly, glancing at her hand deliberately placed on the back of his hand, raised his right eyebrow, "I ordered a meal from the Vegetarian Restaurant for lunch, I’ll eat with you later."
"That’s great, of course." Jin Jumo smiled, then lowered her long eyelashes.
"Are you tired..."
"Rong Mochen!" This time, before Rong Mochen could finish, Fang Jingyi’s voice, laced with a thinly veiled anger, came through.
Following this, the sound of high heels clacking approached sharply.
Rong Mochen’s expression remained unchanged, his dark eyes still tenderly gazing at Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo tugged at the corner of her mouth, raising her head slightly to look at Fang Jingyi.
Fang Jingyi was breathing heavily with rage, glaring at Rong Mochen, "Did you hear what your mother said?"
Rong Mochen then reluctantly shifted his gaze to her, his thin lips parted slightly, "I didn’t know you were coming today, so I only ordered for two. If you and Aunt wish to stay for lunch, I can order more."
"Who’s staying to eat?" Fang Jingyi glared at him angrily, directly pointing her blue-polished fingernail at Jin Jumo, "I came here for one reason today, and that’s to get her out! This kind of woman is not fit to stay here."
Jin Jumo’s brows furrowed slightly, lowering her head without speaking.
"Why?" Rong Mochen stared at Fang Jingyi, slowly uttering these three words.
"..." Fang Jingyi was momentarily stunned, then her anger flared even more, "Because I’m your mother! Rong Mochen, don’t be so ungrateful. If it weren’t for you, why would I be the villain? Stop treating me with this arrogant attitude!"
"Yes, Mochen, your mother is doing this for your own good. Why hurt your relationship over such a woman?" Fang Jingting also came over, glancing disdainfully at Jin Jumo, raising her chin to speak to Rong Mochen with a superior air.
Rong Mochen’s expression visibly darkened, his pitch-black eyes brewing with gloom.
"Forget it, Mr. Rong, since Ms. Fang dislikes me so much and wants to drive me away, for the sake of your mother-son relationship, I will leave." Jin Jumo spoke softly, her face full of understanding and reasonableness.
Rong Mochen coldly stared at her, at this moment feeling the urge to tear away her mask, pinching her face in reprimand, but he couldn’t bring himself to exert force, not leaving a single red mark, softly reprimanding, "Deliberately making trouble for me? You wish!"
Jin Jumo innocently pouted, her large dark eyes looking pitifully at him, "I’m just afraid that you’ll be stuck in the middle and have a hard time. And you still blame me."
Rong Mochen ground his teeth, helplessly pinching her chin with two slender fingers, frowning as he looked at Fang Jingyi, "Anyone else here can leave, but her? Not a chance!"
"Rong Mochen!" Fang Jingyi trembled with anger, her face turning pale, her hand pointing at Jin Jumo shaking, "Do you know what shameful things this woman you’re defending today has done? She’s a shameless person who’ll do anything to climb up to you for wealth and success! How can you be so shrewd in business but be blind when it comes to women? I’m telling you, she’s leaving today no matter what!"
Perhaps provoked by Rong Mochen, Fang Jingyi lost her composure, her words lacking in discretion, her cultured demeanor forgotten.
However, when facing Jin Jumo, Fang Jingyi indeed had no decorum.
Perhaps she felt that with someone like Jin Jumo, it wasn’t necessary!
Upon hearing this, Jin Jumo’s brows furrowed slightly, glancing at Rong Mochen.
Rong Mochen tensed his jaw slightly, but only for a moment, raising his lips in a cold smile, "I already said, absolutely not!"
"Bastard, bastard!" Fang Jingyi cursed twice in her rage, her entire face twitching.
Seeing her chest heaving heavily, on the verge of fainting, Fang Jingting quickly supported her, staring at Rong Mochen disapprovingly, "Mochen, you..."
However, just as Fang Jingting was about to speak, Rong Mochen carried Jin Jumo from the sofa and strode toward the stairs, heading up to the second floor without looking back.
"..." Fang Jingyi and Fang Jingting hadn’t expected to be met with such cold reception and neglect here. Stunned for a while, they came back to their senses, their expressions turning ugly.
Fang Jingyi, clutching her chest, staggered back a few steps, collapsing onto the sofa.
Fang Jingting closed her eyes, taking several deep breaths, frowned at Fang Jingyi, and said in a frustrated tone, "Sister, what do we do now?"
Fang Jingyi, so angry it hurt her chest, struggled to breathe, "How could I have raised such a foolish child!"
Fang Jingting didn’t expect to be humiliated by coming here with Fang Jingyi, her face long and drawn out, saying coolly, "He is now the president of the Rong Group, holding the economic lifeline of the entire Z City in his hands. If he wants to do something, who’s going to say otherwise, who can say anything? I simply can’t do anything."
Fang Jingyi’s temper flared up, "What else are you good for besides stirring things up? Are you not satisfied unless I’m completely furious?"
Fang Jingting pursed her lips, glanced around the living room, her eyes briefly flashing with amazement, then sighed lightly, lazily looking at Fang Jingyi, "Sis, are you leaving or not? If you don’t, I will!"
Fang Jingyi’s face was dark and cloudy, she gritted her teeth and suddenly stood up from the sofa, "I won’t just let this go!"
Watching Fang Jingyi’s angry back, Fang Jingting rolled her eyes, carrying her expensive bag and followed her.
It wasn’t until the living room regained its quietness that Yu Huihua and the two young girls emerged from the kitchen.
"Aunt Yu, is the madam you mentioned Mr. Rong’s mother?" one of the young girls asked carefully in a low voice.
Yu Huihua’s brows furrowed, as if preoccupied, nodded slightly.
"Wasn’t it said that Mr. Rong’s mother comes from a family known for its scholarly tradition? How come..." the other young girl trembled, "is so fierce?"
"Yes, she even said Mr. Rong is blind. What kind of mother curses her son to be blind?" The young girl felt sorry for Rong Mochen.
Yu Huihua’s eyes flickered, and she snapped, "That’s enough, shut your mouths and get to work."
The two young girls obediently shut their mouths and dispersed.
Second floor, master bedroom.
Rong Mochen placed Jin Jumo on the bed, gently grabbed her shoulders and pushed her onto the bed, then fiercely kissed her, all in one steady and aggressive motion.
Jin Jumo’s eyes curved, yet there was no hint of laughter in her dark pupils. She didn’t struggle and let him kiss her.
Rong Mochen fiercely kissed her for a long while, until her lips turned deep red before he gently pulled back, his dark eyes revealing restrained anger, cupping her small face, "Did you do it on purpose?"
Jin Jumo looked puzzled, "What does Mr. Rong mean by that?"
Rong Mochen stared into her eyes, suddenly smiled, got up from her, turned his head to look at her thin cheeks, and offered his hand to her.
Jin Jumo looked at his hand, hesitated for a second, then placed her hand in his palm.
Rong Mochen gently pulled her up, but didn’t let go of her hand, his dark eyes clear, no trace of anger left, looking at her softly, "After the New Year, I’ll take you to Australia for a visit, if you like it there, we’ll stay for the pregnancy, and return before the delivery."
Jin Jumo lowered her eyelashes, "Whatever Mr. Rong says."
Rong Mochen frowned, lifted her chin with long fingers, staring into her eyes, "Is it true that whatever I say goes?"
"As long as Mr. Rong is happy, I’m fine with it," Jin Jumo laughed.
"..." Rong Mochen clenched his teeth, a hint of hostility rising in Jin Jumo’s eyes.
From when did she start responding to all his requests, doing whatever he asked without ever opposing him?
When she looked at him, she’d smile, a smile that couldn’t be criticized for its insincerity, yet it always lacked warmth, so fake that he loathed it!
During their contract period, she often gave him fake smiles, pleasing him deceitfully, but at that time, he found it amusing and didn’t care whether it was sincere or not.
But now, he utterly detested every false smile she showed.
He wanted to tear away her mask!
Rong Mochen’s lips pressed straight, "Since that’s the case, I suppose you have no objections to going to the civil affairs office for our registered marriage tomorrow, right?"
Jin Jumo’s smile stiffened, then quickly raised her lips, "I’m okay with it."
"..." For the first time in his life, Rong Mochen experienced the powerlessness of hitting a cotton ball with a fist.
The next day, Jian Liangtong brought Mu Yan to Jinming Port City to visit Jin Jumo.
Seeing the two come together, Jin Jumo stood at the door and smiled, "Why did you both come together?"
"Of course, we’re here to see you," Jian Liangtong saw Jin Jumo’s thin face, frowned, approached, and linked arms with Mu Yan on each side, heading into the living room.
"Sister Jin, you can’t get any thinner," Mu Yan whispered.
"Hmm." Jin Jumo nodded, "I’m working hard on gaining weight recently."
"Thank heavens, you finally realize you need to gain weight. I’m really afraid you’d never turn back from getting thinner and thinner," Jian Liangtong sighed.
Jin Jumo smiled and glared at her.
Seeing Jin Jumo still occasionally teasing her, not as quiet as the previous period which made Jian Liangtong feel as if they weren’t in the same dimensional space, she felt relieved in her heart.
