Chapter 128: Chapter 125: Do You Really Think We Need to Get Married? (3)

Rong Mochen stared at Jin Jumo’s face, which suddenly became serious and earnest, his voice steady, "Go ahead."

"My grandfather will wake up soon, and if he wakes up, I want to tell him about my marriage. I’m afraid it might be too sudden for him to accept or he might feel sad. So I hope we can discuss our wedding plans carefully. At least until my grandfather recovers and gets better."

Jin Jumo looked sincerely at Rong Mochen, "Is that okay?"

Rong Mochen’s dark eyes deepened as he gazed steadily into Jin Jumo’s sincere and pleading eyes, and slowly said, "I promise you."

Jin Jumo’s eyes suddenly turned a shade of scarlet, and as she watched Rong Mochen slowly curve his lips into a smile, she said, "Thank you."

Rong Mochen squeezed Jin Jumo’s hand, "But it must be before the baby is born."

Jin Jumo nodded, "I understand that."

Rong Mochen looked steadily at Jin Jumo and suddenly asked, "Do you feel wronged?"

"..." Jin Jumo was stunned.

"Marrying me, do you feel very aggrieved?"

Rong Mochen leaned down, his prominent nose almost touching Jin Jumo’s nose tip. His breath was warm and clear, and his profound eyes bore into her slightly retracting eyes as he asked.

Jin Jumo’s pupils contracted slightly; she held her breath, looking at his handsome and sharply etched face for a moment, then started laughing, "To marry Mr. Rong, whose family background is unrivaled, with high looks and long legs, and a beautiful voice, not to mention lovely hands—it’s every woman’s dream to marry such a perfect man who’s flawless. I’m just one of those women, so how could I feel wronged?"

Rong Mochen looked at Jin Jumo’s face, which turned ingratiating in the blink of an eye, and sneered, "Little Mo, you shouldn’t have majored in voice acting in college; you should have studied acting."

"Ha, Mr. Rong, how did you know we have acting classes in our dubbing major?" Jin Jumo laughed innocently.

Rong Mochen’s mouth twitched; suddenly he reached out and pinched Jin Jumo’s face. Only when her face slightly changed did he retract his hand with satisfaction.

Jin Jumo turned to look at the rearview mirror, seeing two red marks on her face. Her mouth twitched as she rubbed her face with one hand, but as she was about to look away, she saw the man slowly approaching from behind in the rearview mirror.

Jin Jumo blinked in surprise, and when she turned her head in confusion, she was suddenly kissed on the lips by the man.

Rong Mochen’s expression was calm; his dark eyes shifted from the road ahead to Jin Jumo’s face, as if frozen in shock for a second, and then he turned back calmly to look ahead, his voice cool, "From now on, it’s time to change what you call me. You should call me Mo Chen from now on."

Jin Jumo’s expression twisted for a moment, as if a giant egg was stuck in her throat, gurgling in her throat, but she couldn’t say a word.

Rong Mochen looked at Jin Jumo again and said plainly, "Say it."

Jin Jumo’s face flushed red, her eyes darting awkwardly. She swallowed her throat, "I, I can’t say it."

Rong Mochen raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes steadily fixed on Jin Jumo, "Or do you want to call me... husband from now on?"

Husband...

Jin Jumo was nearly startled out of her wits, waving her hands frantically, stammering, "No, no, no, don’t, it’s not appropriate..."

What international joke is this?

She never thought she’d call the man in front of her, whom she had always cautiously treated as a "golden sponsor"... husband!

"What’s so inappropriate? Don’t young couples call each other husband and wife these days?" Rong Mochen curved his lips, making it hard to tell if he was joking or serious. His black eyes locked on Jin Jumo, making her feel anxious.

Jin Jumo awkwardly licked her lips, pretending not to know, "Do they? Anyway, my friends don’t do that, haha."

Moreover, what does he mean by young couples?

He doesn’t look more than twenty-eight, just with a somewhat cold demeanor and a strong presence, giving the overall impression of being polished by years, missing the vitality and sunshine of youth.

"Then how do they refer to each other?" Rong Mochen asked.

Jin Jumo touched her heated ear, "They just call each other by name, I guess."

At this, Rong Mochen merely raised his right eyebrow and stared deeply at Jin Jumo.

Jin Jumo felt a shiver down her spine from his gaze, and after a moment, she suddenly realized, feeling like she had dug her own grave.

The way she answered, wasn’t it directly agreeing to his previous demand?

So, does she have to call him by his name now?

Jin Jumo frowned in distress, internally highly resistant, that awkwardness lingering in her heart!

For so long, she was used to calling him Mr. Rong, and now she honestly... couldn’t do it!

"What? Is it very difficult?" Rong Mochen squinted slightly, his expression turning a bit cold.

Jin Jumo gave a wan smile, "Can I tell the truth?"

Rong Mochen’s thin lips suddenly pressed together, forming a cold line between them, resembling a sharp blade about to be unsheathed!

Jin Jumo’s heart tightened, she changed her tone and laughed, "That’s not difficult at all, haha, calling names is affectionate, not hard at all."

Rong Mochen didn’t speak, but stared straight at Jin Jumo.

Inside, Jin Jumo was going crazy, yet her face displayed sincerity and frankness, as her delicate white fingers clawed at the denim on her knees, she struggled to part her lips, cautiously squeezing out word by word, "Mo Chen"

Jin Jumo possessed a good voice, not just evident in her talent for voice acting, but even in the stiffest words coming out of her mouth, there was always a soft, melodious charm.

Rong Mochen’s Adam’s apple rolled slightly, his black eyes deepening as he stared at Jin Jumo for a few seconds, before he squinted and said indifferently, "It’s better to call me Mr. Rong."

"..." Jin Jumo widened her eyes, wondering, is he teasing me, teasing me, or just teasing me?

Rong Mochen looked at Jin Jumo’s unwilling silence, hinting at a bit of humiliation, as the corners of his thin lips slightly curled up.

Beisheng.

The car drove into the villa and stopped in front of the entrance in the blink of an eye. Tang Ruan opened the car door and got out, circled around to the other side where Rong Sinan was sitting and opened the door, extending a delicate white hand in front of Rong Sinan.

Rong Sinan’s expression was cool and distant, he glanced at the soft, boneless hand in front of him but did not give his hand to her. Instead, he bent down out of the car and walked straight past her.

Tang Ruan’s extend hand stiffened slightly, as she stared at the suddenly indifferent back of Rong Sinan compared to usual, stunned in place for a moment before hurriedly catching up.

She gently clasped his arm and softly said, "Careful."

Rong Sinan’s arm, held by her hand, suddenly tightened, his lips pressed together, not letting go of her but neither saying a word.

Tang Ruan remained silent too.

Upon entering the villa, Rong Sinan suddenly withdrew his arm and swiftly limped upstairs.

Tang Ruan’s eyes flashed intensely, she hastily opened her mouth, "Husband."

Rong Sinan closed his eyes for a moment but didn’t pause, taking himself upstairs and shutting himself in the study.

As the door slammed shut in front of her eyes, Tang Ruan’s face went pale uncontrollably. It was the first time since their marriage that he blatantly ignored her words, and also the first time he treated her with such indifference.

Her fingertips curled in panic, Tang Ruan took a fierce breath and quickly walked to the kitchen.

Ten minutes later, Tang Ruan carried a cup of hot coffee and went upstairs.

She had unrestricted access to Rong Sinan’s study, so she didn’t even need to knock on the door.

When Tang Ruan turned the doorknob and entered with the coffee, Rong Sinan was leaning on a chaise lounge on the open-air balcony, covering his forehead with one hand, seemingly oblivious to the sound of the door opening, as he remained motionless.

Tang Ruan squinted, walked over with the coffee and placed it gently on the cream-colored table in front of the chaise lounge.

She turned her eyes towards him.

Rong Sinan kept his eyes lightly closed, his refined face carried fatigue and aloofness, the aura exuding from him had lost its usual gentle warmth, replaced with chilling coldness.

Tang Ruan gently lowered her eyelids, walked to his side, and slowly squatted down before him, her hands gently holding his hand placed on his leg, her soft, alluring eyes staring straight at him, her voice weak, "Husband, what’s wrong?"

Rong Sinan seemed not to hear, the cold air rendered even his breath soundless.

Water welled up in Tang Ruan’s eyes, she tightened her grip on his hand and pleaded in a choked voice, "Sinan, don’t be like this. Even if I did something wrong, don’t just ignore me."

Rong Sinan’s elegant brows furrowed, but he remained indifferent.

Tang Ruan secretly bit her lip, tears hung from the corners of her eyes, making her appear pitiful. Any man seeing her like this would probably want to gently wipe away her tears, "Sinan, if you have any dissatisfaction with me, you can tell me directly, and I will change, okay?"

Upon hearing this, Rong Sinan slowly opened his eyes, his dark, silent eyes narrowed as they scanned the tears at her eye corners, his hand lightly clenched against his forehead, restraining his urge to wipe away her tears, his voice warm and cool, "Will you really change?"

"Yes." Tang Ruan nodded firmly, tears rolled down her face, "Sinan, whatever requests you have of me, just tell me, I will comply, as long as you don’t ignore me like this."

Rong Sinan stared at the tears on her face, a deep sympathy flashed in his eyes as he slowly straightened up, eventually reaching out to wipe the tears off her face.

Tang Ruan’s eyes slightly contracted, she immediately held his hand against her face and looked at him plaintively.

"Ruan Ruan, I don’t want today’s kind of incident to happen again."

Tang Ruan’s expression stiffened, "Sinan, I don’t understand..."

"You understand!" Rong Sinan’s expression was cold and stern, his usually open and clear eyes were now sharply cold as he stared straight at Tang Ruan.

Tang Ruan’s tightened fingertips trembled slightly, her eyes rimmed red like blood, "Sinan, I, I just felt that Miss Jin’s intentions were not simple, worried Mochen might be misled, that’s why I told Mom and Aunt the truth. Mom and Aunt have seen much of the world, their judgment of people is more precise than ours. If they can vouch for Mochen’s happiness by approving Miss Jin as a suitable partner who can truly care for Mochen, then we can be at ease, can’t we?"

"Mochen has been in the business world for years, when it comes to judgment, who can surpass him?" Rong Sinan frowned.
