Chapter 132: Chapter 129: Everyone in Z City Knows
Jin Jumo’s gaze swept over her swollen eyelids, her lips curled, but her heart felt uneasy.
She was almost certain that every time she got hurt or faced something sad, she always endured it with a forced casualness, which led to today’s big outburst in front of her.
The woman who pretends to be strong and invincible in front of others is the one whose vulnerability makes people especially pity and feel sorry.
"Don’t just stand there, sit down." Tang Yige patted the spot beside her.
Jin Jumo walked over and sat next to her, hearing her say, "You got pregnant, and I smoked in front of you. If Mo Chen finds out, who knows how he’ll retaliate against me."
Jin Jumo was slightly startled, looking at her. So that’s why she was just looking around for air freshener?
Tang Yige tilted her head to look at her belly. Because she was wearing a lot and it was just over three months, there was no obvious change, "I heard it’s twins?"
Jin Jumo nodded, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Tang Yige, "Yes."
A fleeting, unreadable emotion flashed in Tang Yige’s eyes, and she said, "Really enviable."
"You can have children too. Although the chance to have two like me at once is smaller, you can still have one at a time and have twins in two years." Jin Jumo’s words carried a bit of a boastful tone.
Tang Yige elegantly rolled her eyes, "Look who’s gloating."
Jin Jumo spread her hands.
Tang Yige looked at Jin Jumo and suddenly fell silent.
Jin Jumo was taken aback, pursing her lips, looking at her in confusion.
"Momo, do you think a woman who can’t even have children can still be considered a woman?" Tang Yige said softly.
"..." Jin Jumo frowned, "What do you mean?"
Tang Yige squinted her eyes slightly, her soft waist leaning back, laughing softly, "What do I mean? Just saying casually. Come, let me show you the cheongsam I made for you."
Tang Yige got up and reached out to pull Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo frowned, looking at her beautiful side face, she whispered, "Sister Yi, what you just said..."
"What did I just say?" Tang Yige looked at Jin Jumo in confusion, seeming really not to remember what she said, smiling as she pinched her hand, "Sister Yi has never seriously made clothes for anyone. If you don’t like it when you see it, you can’t show it, okay?"
Jin Jumo was silent for a second, curled her lips, "Even Sister Yi has times when she’s not confident about the clothes she makes?"
"It’s not lack of confidence, but it’s hard to satisfy everyone’s tastes!" Tang Yige said meaningfully.
Jin Jumo smiled, pursing her lips, following her into the ready-made clothing room.
Jin Jumo carrying the cheongsam packed in a bag and holding hands with Tang Yige walked out of the clothing room, only to see an elegantly noble man standing in the center of the studio with his hands in his pockets.
Her elbow was bumped by the person beside her, Jin Jumo’s brow moved slightly, looking over.
Tang Yige raised her eyebrows at her, hooking her arm, walking towards the man in the center, "President Rong is so busy every day, how come he has the time to visit my little studio?"
Rong Mochen listened, turned his head slightly, his deep, cold, noble black eyes looking directly at Tang Yige, but only for a second before turning to stare at Jin Jumo beside her, his cold black eyes visibly softening.
Jin Jumo blushed slightly when he looked over, but her gaze didn’t shy away from him.
He was wearing a black high-neck thin sweater, along with black slim-fit casual pants and black leather shoes, a dark gray coat hanging from his strong arm, an expensive silver watch visible on his wrist, every part of him exuding quality and style.
"Haven’t you eaten yet?" Rong Mochen said to Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo nodded slightly, looked at Tang Yige, "Sister Yi, let’s go eat together."
"The big president hasn’t invited me." Tang Yige played hard to get, smiling ambiguously at Rong Mochen.
Rong Mochen looked at Tang Yige, his sharp gaze sweeping over her swollen eyelids, squinted slightly, "What do you want to eat?"
Tang Yige was stunned, then smiled, "I want to eat Yulong Residence’s fried chicken and Vegetarian Restaurant’s glutinous lotus root pastries."
Ugh...
Jin Jumo twitched her mouth, glancing at Rong Mochen.
Rong Mochen’s face showed no expression, only looked at Tang Yige faintly.
Tang Yige secretly gave herself a thumbs-up for this answer, smiling boastfully, "So what, President, will you treat us?"
"No." Rong Mochen replied bluntly.
"..." Tang Yige and Jin Jumo were both taken aback.
Tang Yige laughed angrily, "You really are a dull person."
Rong Mochen pursed his lips, "I’ve reserved a spot at the restaurant before, with Little Mo, it’s up to you whether you come or not."
Previously reserved restaurant?
Jin Jumo was momentarily dazed, suddenly remembering the casual lie she told to chase away Tang Ruan and Rong Sinan, her ears warming, glancing at a certain person from the corner of her eye, only to be caught immediately.
Jin Jumo hastily turned her head, blushing as she looked at Tang Yige, sincerely said, "Sister Yi, come with us."
Tang Yige hesitated, her face showed fatigue, looked tiredly at Jin Jumo, "Next time, I’m a bit tired."
"You have to eat even if you’re tired." Jin Jumo said.
"I’ll order takeaway later." Tang Yige said, pulling Jin Jumo to stand in front of Rong Mochen, placing Jin Jumo’s hand on Rong Mochen’s arm, smiled, "Go ahead."
Rong Mochen stared at Tang Yige’s tired eyes, said nothing, and lowered his gaze to Jin Jumo.
Jin Jumo frowned, feeling a bit uneasy for her, "Sister Yi..."
"Stop dawdling, hurry up and leave!" Tang Yige spoke and turned upstairs as if fearing Jin Jumo might say something else, "Remember to close the door when you leave."
Jin Jumo watched her graceful figure disappear at the stairway, sighing lightly in her heart.
"Let’s go." Rong Mochen took the bag from Jin Jumo’s hand, grasping her hand tightly, and spoke softly.
Jin Jumo glanced at him and nodded.
As she sat in the car, Jin Jumo fretfully looked back at the photo studio, asking quietly, "Has Sister Yi always lived alone in the studio?"
Rong Mochen also glanced at the studio, his indifferent voice devoid of any emotion, "Yes."
"Such a big studio, is she alone with no one to help her?" Jin Jumo turned to ask Rong Mochen.
"The studio was closed for a while, she dismissed all employees then. When it reopened, she didn’t have the heart to manage it like before, so she never hired anyone." Rong Mochen spoke while driving.
Jin Jumo fell silent.
Rong Mochen glanced sideways at her, "Concerned about her?"
Jin Jumo’s long eyelashes fluttered, and after a while, she said quietly, "I just think Sister Yi is quite pitiful."
Rong Mochen was slightly taken aback, turning to look at Jin Jumo.
Sighing internally, Jin Jumo raised her long lashes to look at Rong Mochen, "Sister Yi must really, really like your brother."
"Yes." Rong Mochen turned his gaze, "Tang Yige is a few years younger than my brother. Once she recognized people, whenever my brother was present, she wanted no one else, just my brother, from a young age. She likes my brother, and almost everyone in the Rong Family and Tang Family knows."
Listening to this makes it sound like a lovely, heartwarming story.
However, Jin Jumo knows it isn’t.
Rong Sinan despises Tang Yige; saying he despises her is putting it mildly.
The look in his eyes for Tang Yige is full of deep disgust and hatred, seeing her as nothing but sin and a plague, making him loathe and avoid her.
He wouldn’t even have a meal with her!
"Why doesn’t Brother Rong like Sister Yi?" Jin Jumo asked in a low voice.
Rong Mochen’s eyebrows lightly furrowed, he said nothing.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to say, but he himself wasn’t clear on the reasons.
The only thing he knew was what happened a year ago...
Seeing him silent, Jin Jumo assumed he didn’t want to speak, pressed her lips tightly, and asked no more.
On the way back to Jinming Port City after dining at the restaurant, Rong Mochen received a call from Rong Sinan.
Jin Jumo couldn’t hear what Rong Sinan was saying, but from Rong Mochen’s response, it seemed like he was asking if she had left Tang Yige’s studio and if she was with Rong Mochen now.
Jin Jumo looked outside the window, but her brows furrowed slightly.
To her, Tang Yige is straightforward and candid, apart from being excessively charming and glamorous, and always smoking, she’s worthy of deep friendship.
But Rong Sinan doesn’t seem to see it that way. He seems very opposed to her getting too close to Tang Yige, saying things in front of Tang Yige as if telling her to stay away from Tang Yige and nothing else.
Moreover, he called Rong Mochen right after leaving the studio, very uneasy about her being alone with Tang Yige.
Now, calling to inquire specifically, these actions almost treat Tang Yige like the number one dangerous person!
She can’t understand why.
Why does Tang Yige like Rong Sinan so much while Rong Sinan has such a spiteful attitude towards her? Is it simply because Tang Yige likes him?
After finishing the call with Rong Sinan, Rong Mochen turned to look at Jin Jumo, and said blandly, "Brother has invited us to have dinner the day after tomorrow."
"..." Jin Jumo’s gaze tensed slightly as she turned to look at him, "Why suddenly invite us for dinner?"
Rong Mochen stared at Jin Jumo, saying with deep implication, "Probably has something to say."
Jin Jumo’s eyes flickered, she nodded silently.
"What happened today at the studio?" Rong Mochen asked with a casual tone.
Obediently, Jin Jumo first thought of Tang Ruan’s tearful face, slightly curled her lips, and looked at Rong Mochen, "Miss Tang seemed to want to reconcile with Sister Yi but Sister Yi disagreed, so she cried for one or two hours at the studio before Brother Rong came to take her away."
Rong Mochen’s expression remained unchanged, he casually responded and said no more.
Jin Jumo frowned, smiling, "Just ’hmm’?"
Rong Mochen pursed his lips, lowered his brows, looking at Jin Jumo’s slightly disappointed face, he sneered, "What do you want to say?"
"I thought Mr. Rong would feel sorry, after all, everyone in Z City knows Miss Tang is your treasured one." Jin Jumo spoke with extreme candor, her tone very plain.
Rong Mochen’s dark eyes turned cold in an instant, his stare at Jin Jumo sharp as if wanting to carve her out.
Jin Jumo’s back gradually turned chilly under his sharp and shadowy gaze, she slowly shifted her gaze forward and shrugged, "Pretend I didn’t say anything."
