Chapter 217: Chapter 213: Tell Me, How Much Do You Hate Me

Jin Ju’s eyes were suddenly stung with emotion.

Helping Jin Ju to sit in front of the hospital bed, the doctor and nurse left the room one after another.

Jin Ju opened her mouth slightly, looking at his right hand in a cast, "It must hurt a lot."

Ying Jingyao stared at Jin Ju’s flushed eyes, frowned, and lifted his other hand towards her.

Jin Ju sniffed, quickly reaching out to hold it, pressed it against her cheek, tears rolling down, choking, "I’m sorry."

Her cheek was so cool, yet her tears were as hot as firestones, drop by drop, like boiling lava falling on his heart.

Ying Jingyao looked at Jin Ju with pity, rubbing the back of his hand gently on her face to wipe her tears, "Fool."

"Woo," Jin Ju pressed her eyes against the back of his hand, couldn’t help but sob softly, "I’m just a jinx, whoever gets close to me meets bad luck. Why did you have to meet me?"

Ying Jingyao’s eyes reddened, the compassion in his eyes deepened, "Silly."

Jin Ju shook her head, "Really, stay far away from me."

"Can’t stay away," Ying Jingyao’s lips curved bitterly, his clear eyes reflecting her dark head, "No matter what, I can’t stay away. Momo, without you, I don’t know how to continue living."

Jin Ju’s tears kept falling, "What’s good about me? I only bring you misfortune; look at you now, it’s the best proof."

"Shh," Ying Jingyao gazed at her tenderly, "You’re not a jinx. Instead, only when you’re by my side, I am the luckiest person in the world. Momo, I’ll never let go of your hand."

"You’re so foolish, you’re the biggest fool in the world, Ying Jingyao, you tell me, you tell me, what can I do for you? Will you tell me?" Jin Ju’s fingers tightened on the back of his hand, her voice full of helplessness.

Ying Jingyao’s throat choked, "You don’t need to do anything, just being by my side is enough."

That night, Ying Jingyao specifically had the hospital arrange a bed in his room for Jin Ju.

Jin Ju stayed in the hospital room to rest.

All night, Ying Jingyao’s hand gripped hers tightly, even though he was tortured by the anesthetic and couldn’t open his eyes.

Yet Jin Ju watched his furrowed, pale face and didn’t close her eyes all night.

At six in the morning, Jin Ju moved her dry eyes, propped herself up on the bed, and sat up.

Just as she sat up, Ying Jingyao, who had closed his eyes, suddenly opened them as if startled, his clear eyes looking at Jin Ju with fear and panic.

Jin Ju was taken aback, hurriedly squeezed his hand tightly, and said softly, "Had a nightmare?"

Ying Jingyao looked at Jin Ju and didn’t speak for a long time.

Jin Ju frowned, got off the bed, squatted beside him, and gently patted his shoulder, "It’s okay, just a dream, it’s not real."

"Momo," Ying Jingyao suddenly took a deep breath, reversed his hand, and with almost all his strength, grasped Jin Ju’s hand.

Jin Ju’s eyes fluttered lightly, her hand hurt from his grip, softly breathed, and said, "I’m here. I’m here."

Ying Jingyao stared at her, the panic in his eyes lingering for a long time.

Nobody knew how long had passed.

Ying Jingyao slowly closed his eyes, moistened his dry lips twice, and looked deeply at Jin Ju, "I want to drink water."

"I’ll get it for you right away." Jin Ju immediately stood up.

But before she could stand fully, she was pulled back by a strong force.

Jin Ju almost sat on the ground, her eyes lifted slightly in panic, looking at Ying Jingyao.

Ying Jingyao’s lips were tightly pressed, his voice tense, "Where are you going?"

Jin Ju was stunned for a moment, "Didn’t you say you wanted water? I’ll get it for you."

Ying Jingyao seemed to exhale, or maybe not, clutching Jin Ju’s hand tightly with an uneasy grip, "Don’t go."

Jin Ju’s eyes flickered again, placing her other hand on the back of his hand, softly saying, "I’m not leaving, I’ll just get the water right here."

"I don’t want it anymore. Just don’t leave." Ying Jingyao’s eyes were glued to Jin Ju, unwilling to move an inch.

Jin Ju coaxed in a low voice, "I won’t go out, the water is in the room, I’ll just get it."

Ying Jingyao stubbornly pressed his lips tightly, still refusing to let go.

At seven in the morning, a nurse came to check the room, and Jin Ju hurriedly asked the nurse to pour a glass of water, inserted a straw, and gave it to Ying Jingyao.

Ying Jingyao glanced at the straw, then frowned in disdain, "I’ll drink directly."

Jin Ju said nothing and removed the straw.

Handed the cup back to his mouth.

Ying Jingyao bowed his head, drinking with difficulty, yet still finished the whole glass in one go.

"Do you want more?" Jin Ju asked.

Ying Jingyao frowned childishly, "The nurse already left, I don’t want more."
