Chapter 241: Chapter 236: In His Heart, No One Can Compare to Her 3

Hanhan, "..." He can hear just fine!

Rong Mochen watched Hanhan’s little figure move faster into the bedroom, a faint smile forming at the corners of his mouth.

Jin Jumo withdrew her gaze from Hanhan and turned to look at Rong Mochen.

Rong Mochen met Jin Jumo’s gaze, his dark eyes paused, and then he put down Xixi, "Go play with your brother."

Xixi, mischievous and clever, glanced at Jin Jumo, covered her mouth to suppress a giggle, and ran off to find Hanhan.

Jin Jumo felt her ears heat up from Xixi’s expression as she left, and her eyes slightly withdrew their focus from Rong Mochen.

Rong Mochen stared at Jin Jumo, his voice gentle, "Do you have something to say to me?"

Jin Jumo nodded with her eyelashes lowered, "Came back suddenly with nothing prepared. I want to go out to buy some clothes for Xixi and Hanhan, and... also get a new phone SIM card. Xixi and Hanhan didn’t go to kindergarten today; the principal and teachers will surely call to ask."

"For you and the kids’ clothes, someone will come by later to take your measurements for custom orders. As for the SIM card, I’ll have Gu Yan... I’ll have Yicheng or Nan Qing handle it and deliver it to you," Rong Mochen said.

Jin Jumo paused and then, after a moment, looked up at Rong Mochen and whispered, "When does Mr. Rong plan to send me and the children back to S City?"

Rong Mochen pursed his lips, his gaze on Jin Jumo’s face cool, his tone indifferent, "Since you’re back, why go back to S City?"

"But I still have work in S City; how can I not go back?"

"Do you miss the work, or do you miss Ying Jingyao?" Rong Mochen abruptly snorted.

"..." Jin Jumo’s throat tightened, her calm face also slightly chilled, turning her head to the side with a frown, "Mr. Rong can think whatever he wants."

Rong Mochen’s brow furrowed tightly, staring at Jin Jumo’s tense, displeased profile, his thin lips pressed coolly as he snorted and turned to walk towards the door.

As he turned, Jin Jumo also turned without looking at him and walked toward the bedroom.

She even entered the bedroom before Rong Mochen, slamming the door shut.

Rong Mochen’s steps faltered as he walked out, his dark eyes suddenly filled with a cold shadow, and with a sullen face, he left the apartment.

In the bedroom, Xixi was clinging coquettishly to her brother, whispering something unknown. The sound of two doors slamming in succession frightened the little girl, who hugged her brother tighter and turned to look anxiously towards the bedroom door.

Jin Jumo noticed, quickly softening her expression, and spoke gently, "Xixi, don’t be afraid. It was windy, so the door slammed loudly when mommy closed it."

Xixi let out a breath, patting her chest in fright, then looked at her brother, "That really scared me just now."

Hanhan patted her little head, "Coward."

Though it was meant as a scold, the voice was tender and indulgent.

Xixi stuck out her tongue at him, then looked at Jin Jumo, "Mommy, where’s daddy?"

Jin Jumo’s eyelashes fluttered lightly, "He, he left."

"Left?" Xixi’s eyes widened, and she frowned a little disappointedly, "Daddy’s not going to stay with us today?"

"Daddy has work; he has to go to work. Be a good girl, Xixi."

Jin Jumo walked closer, squatting in front of Xixi, she pinched the little girl’s cheek and spoke softly.

Xixi pouted, "Alright."

"Mom, are we really going to stay here from now on and not go back?" Hanhan looked at Jin Jumo and asked.

A flash of worry quickly passed through Jin Jumo’s eyes, and she reached out to embrace Hanhan, "Hanhan, do you not want to stay here? Do you want to go back to S City?"

Hanhan shrugged, "I don’t mind, as long as you and Xixi are happy."

Jin Jumo felt a pang at Hanhan’s maturity, and she rubbed her forehead affectionately against his little face, smiling, "Hanhan truly is our little man, knowing how to care for mommy and his little sister."

Hanhan’s face turned red in an instant, yet he looked at Jin Jumo earnestly and said, "I am a man."

Jin Jumo smiled and nodded, "Yes, yes, Hanhan is indeed a little man. In the future, mommy and Xixi will depend on your care."

"No problem." Hanhan spread out his hands.

"Mommy, I want to take care of you too." Xixi squeezed into Jin Jumo’s embrace, competing to speak.

Jin Jumo couldn’t help but laugh, "But Xixi is still too small..."

"I’m the same age as my brother, mommy is biased," Xixi huffed, "wants brother to care, doesn’t want Xixi to care."

Would she even argue over such a thing?

Jin Jumo laughed out loud, tenderly pinching her nose, "Little girl, you’ll see, being taken care of is much more blessed than caring for others."

Xixi raised her little chin, seeming to somewhat understand.

Rong Group Headquarters, 48th floor, CEO’s office.

Inside the office, Rong Mochen’s upright and precise figure stood by the window, as Gu Yan, usually carefree in demeanor, earnestly and meticulously reported the important work matters that had been missed to Rong Mochen in a steady manner.

After finishing the work report, Gu Yan closed the notebook, his brows knit, looking at Rong Mochen, "Previously in S City, I spread word among the media in Z City that you intended to dissolve the marriage with Gu Lingyi. But somehow, Gu Yaoqin managed to suppress the news. I really underestimated him!"

Rong Mochen glanced at the cold anger on Gu Yan’s face, his dark eyes slightly cool, "From an unknown real estate businessman to his current magnate status, Gu Yaoqin must have some tactics and wits to achieve that."

"Hmph. Even with Gu Yaoqin’s tactics, how could he compare to the Rong Group?" Gu Yan scoffed lightly.

Rong Mochen frowned lightly, "I asked Uncle Li about this; he wasn’t aware, which means the old man hasn’t intervened. How did Gu Yaoqin manage to keep all the media in Z City silent about my intent to dissolve the marriage with Gu Lingyi? Have you thought about it?"

"I’ve checked. Recently, Gu Yaoqin has been playing golf with some partners daily but hasn’t interacted with anyone else. Besides, what media in Z City would dare to oppose the Rong Group? Moreover, the news of you dissolving the engagement with Gu Lingyi is such a juicy story that journalists wouldn’t let it go so easily," Gu Yan said, full of suspicion.

A shadow crossed his deep eyes, and Rong Mochen fell silent for a moment, asking, "Any news about Fu Mulan?"

Upon hearing Fu Mulan’s name, Gu Yan gritted his teeth, "Even if she goes to heaven, I will drag her down!"

Rong Mochen pursed his lips, his dark eyes fixed intently on Gu Yan, "Have you ever thought about returning to your old profession?"

Gu Yan was taken aback, "Boss Rong, what are you suggesting?"

Rong Mochen looked back, his deep eyes gazing out the window, "You don’t really like your current job, do you?"

"Compared to being your assistant, of course, I prefer intelligence work." Gu Yan ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

"Post the job listing for Rong Group’s presidential assistant on all major recruitment websites tomorrow." Rong Mochen said.

"..." Gu Yan held his breath, "Boss Rong."

"That’s settled." Rong Mochen made the decision, leaving no room for negotiation.

"Rong..."

Gu Yan wanted to say more, but Rong Mochen turned to look at him and said calmly, "Later, come with me to visit the stadium that Gu Yaoqin has recently frequented."

Gu Yan frowned, swallowed back the words that were about to escape his throat, and nodded.

The apartment.

Soon after Rong Mochen left, a group of fashion designers arrived to take measurements for Jin Jumo, Xixi, and Hanhan.

At first, Xixi found it novel, but she quickly lost interest, letting the designers manipulate her small body.

Once the designers left, Xixi immediately leaned limply against Jin Jumo, her big sparkling eyes looking at her with boredom, "Mommy, I want to sleep."

"You want to sleep even though you haven’t had lunch yet?" Jin Jumo lifted the little girl onto her lap, tapping her nose.

Xixi lazily leaned against Jin Jumo’s soft chest, playing with her fingers, "When we return to Mommy’s hometown, will my brother and I go to kindergarten?"

"Yes." Jin Jumo nodded.

"When can we go?" Xixi asked.

"In a while." Jin Jumo replied.

"Sigh." Xixi sighed.

Jin Jumo paused, looked down at Xixi, "What’s wrong, sweetheart?"

Xixi shook her head, buried her face in Jin Jumo’s embrace, and whispered, "I want to sleep."

Jin Jumo frowned slightly and glanced at Hanhan.

Hanhan was sitting on the couch, looking equally bored.

Jin Jumo raised an eyebrow in understanding.

The little girl was bored!

Jin Jumo thought for a moment, gently lifted Xixi’s face from her lap, and looked into her wide-awake eyes, "Xixi, how about Mommy takes you and your brother out to play?"

"Play?" Xixi suddenly perked up, sitting up straight on Jin Jumo’s lap, her eyes sparkling with excitement, "Where are we going to play?"

"Mommy hasn’t decided yet; let’s go out first, okay?" Jin Jumo said.

"Okay, okay." Xixi nodded enthusiastically.

As the family of three got ready to leave and reached the door, Jin Jumo suddenly remembered something.

Last night, mysteriously brought to Z City by someone, the only items she brought besides the pajamas she was wearing were nothing else.

This meant she had no money.

And no identification either!

Jin Jumo frowned deeply, regretfully looking at Xixi and Hanhan.

Faced with the expectant and questioning eyes of the two little ones, Jin Jumo hesitated.

"Mom, what’s wrong?" Hanhan asked suspiciously.

Jin Jumo flicked her lips, "Mommy, Mommy suddenly remembered..."

"Remembered what?" Xixi was eager to go out, but Jin Jumo’s hesitation made her voice tense and anxious.

Jin Jumo closed her eyes, "Remembered that Mommy doesn’t..." have money.

She couldn’t say the word "money."

The doorbell suddenly rang.

Jin Jumo was startled, pursed her lips, and looked towards the door.

"Could it be Daddy’s back?" Xixi let go of Jin Jumo’s hand, stood on tiptoe, and opened the door.

But the person standing at the door was not Rong Mochen.

Xixi blinked her big eyes, looking curiously at the muscular man with a stern face at the door, not afraid, and asked in a low voice, "Who are you?"

Lei Yicheng was too rugged, with a close-cropped head and sharp features, giving him a fierce appearance upon first glance.

Despite his good looks, children often saw him and cried, even when he did nothing.
