Chapter 494: Chapter 301: Main Base, The Starting Point of the Revenge Journey

Garfield pulled up the collar of his black sweater, silently giving her the finger.

"You Japanese just love to chatter, just like Oda Ehgo," Jiushijiu said disdainfully, turning and walking towards the elevator, his pink twin tails bobbing up and down.

"I’m an old man, you know, and old people tend to get a bit naggy... you’ll get used to it," Oda Ehgo shook his head, speaking self-deprecatingly as he got up and walked towards the elevator.

Esther walked closer to the elevator, yawning, "Old man? Oda boy, when I was already a Catastrophe-level Superpower User, you might not even have been born yet, so don’t call yourself ’old’ in front of me."

"True enough."

Oda Ehgo didn’t argue, simply crossed his arms and tucked them into the sleeves of his kimono, silently waiting for the elevator to descend.

This scene looked particularly bizarre to outsiders: a little girl in a gothic dress scolding an old man in a black kimono, yet the latter didn’t argue back.

Soon, the three of them entered the elevator car, and the elevator doors closed, going up.

"You guys should hurry up and get moving," Chen Qian looked up and glanced at the remaining people, "The plane takes off in half an hour, not much time to prepare."

"Can I dissect the Light-Eating Bees we caught at will?" Kalina, who had been intently staring at the photos of the Light-Eating Bees, finally looked up. She adjusted her goggles upwards, revealing an excited smile.

"As you please," Chen Qian said.

"Even the Bee Prince and Queen Bee?" Kalina stuck her hands into the pockets of her lab coat.

"As long as you clean them up after you’re done playing with them," Commander Chen Qian said calmly, "The higher-ups only have one request, and that’s to eliminate all the Light-Eating Bees."

"Copy that, sir." Kalina playfully raised her right hand in a salute, her head of blonde hair slightly swaying. Then she got up from her chair, eagerly walking to the elevator, her steps as light as a little girl who just found a toy.

"Sis, dissecting those Superpower Users was one thing, but what’s so fun about bee corpses? It’s gross," Garfield said grudgingly as he got up and walked to the elevator.

"Well, she’s a real scientist," Urushibara Ryuri walked over, teasing, "Unlike you, a little brat who only knows how to make Gundams."

"Who’s a little brat?" Garfield asked coldly.

"You are," Urushibara Ryuri curled her lips, "Besides that flat-chested, expressionless girl and you, are there any other little brats around here?"

After speaking, she turned her head and glanced at You Ruirui. Unfortunately, the latter didn’t respond to her taunt.

Kalina was engrossed in staring at the photo of the Light-Eating Bee, humming a tune, her fingers slightly curled. She seemed fully immersed and didn’t hear the conversation between the two next to her.

The elevator doors opened, and the three of them stepped in, leaving only You Ruirui, Gu Qiye, the Princess, and the Father of Puppets in the conference room. The air suddenly grew quiet.

Gu Qiye remained silent, continuously observing the Father of Puppets out of the corner of his eye.

"Let’s go," You Ruirui put away his tablet and said to Gu Qiye.

"You’ve always driven; why don’t I give you a ride for once?" Gu Qiye thought for a moment and suddenly asked.

"Have you driven before?" You Ruirui turned to look at him.

"No," Gu Qiye shook his head.

"Exactly, I’ve checked your profile in advance; you don’t have a driver’s license," You Ruirui said flatly, "Busy man."

"I don’t have a driver’s license, but my old man taught me how to drive in Hawaii."

"Don’t think I haven’t watched Detective Conan."

The two chatted as they got up from the table, boarded the elevator, and soon arrived at the second basement’s parking garage, getting into a car.

Gu Qiye observed the others through the car window; most members got into their cars in an orderly manner.

Only the Oversetter "Garfield" was still leaning against a pillar, playing on his phone. His eyes flashed blue, and a massive sports car materialized in front of him. The car’s metallic shell changed color, disguising itself as a red Ferrari.

The car door opened automatically, and Garfield sat in the driver’s seat, put on sunglasses and a hat, and activated the auto-drive mode. The knock-off Ferrari drove away, exiting the garage.

"That little guy, is he called ’Garfield’?" Gu Qiye asked curiously, looking at Garfield.

"Yes, we usually call him ’Garfield Cat,’" You Ruirui said, "That’s the code name Urushibara Ryuri gave him. Only he doesn’t acknowledge it, but everyone else calls him that."

"So what’s ’Garfield Cat’s’ superpower?"

"I don’t know much, but it’s probably about using stored metal parts, or even biological objects, to create corresponding constructs," You Ruirui said, "Vehicles, trains, even Gundams, he can make them."

"So, in a way, he’s a larger version of Swallowing Silver," Gu Qiye blurted out.

"Who’s Swallowing Silver? I don’t know them."

Gu Qiye paused, turning to look at her profile.

"Could it be that among the Mutants in China, you’ve only been paying attention to me?" he asked.

You Ruirui was silent for a moment.

"Only paying attention to you."

Having said that, she used the remote key to start the engine, pressed the accelerator, and the Maybach roared forward, leaving the garage to greet the noonday sun over New York.

This mission came so suddenly that most of the Rainbow Wing members who were on vacation or had just completed a mission couldn’t help but feel resentment in their hearts.

However, there was a reason for the emergency deployment of the entire Rainbow Wings — the Light-Eating Bee species has the potential for infinite evolution, and their elites will one day surpass the Catastrophe level.

Every decision made by the United Nations high-level officials leans towards "not making a mistake" rather than "doing the best," so if this possibility exists, it must be nipped in the bud immediately.

They understand that delays may push the situation to a point of no return; if it escalates further, the United Nations might seek help from the Exorcist Association, asking them to dispatch "Lake Hunting," the world’s number one exorcist organization, to assist in battle.

That’s the way it is, but the members of Rainbow Wings still felt no tension. In their eyes, unless they encounter an equal number of Catastrophe-level enemies, mobilizing the entire group seemed still a bit of an overreaction.

At that moment, a black Maybach sped down the streets of Manhattan, heading towards a private airport.

Sitting in the front passenger seat, Gu Qiye took out his phone from his jacket pocket. A notification popped up on their Rainbow Wings’ dedicated meeting software.

He opened the software, clicked into the file, and found a picture of the Nameless Island;

He flipped through, glanced at the red dots on the satellite map, and based on the latitude and longitude, determined the approximate coordinates of the island.

Memorizing the coordinates in his mind, he opened his phone’s contacts, clicked on the contact named "Black Cocoon," and sent the coordinates via text message.

[Gu Qiye: I’ve sent you the location of the Light-Eating Bee’s main base. By August 15, all of Rainbow Wing will have landed on the island to wipe out the Light-Eating Bees, including the four members of the Salvation Society.]

It wasn’t long before a message popped up on the SMS interface.

[Black Cocoon: Got it, I’ll pass this information on to your grandpa and that dumb ox.]

[Black Cocoon: See you on the island then, Mr. Qiye. You’re not alone in this revenge.]
