Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Lu Shen’s Revenge_1
Yu Sicheng was indeed remarkable. Anyone else might be tempted by fifty million—who wouldn’t be moved by such a sum that could be squandered for half a lifetime? Yet, he didn’t seem the slightest bit interested; this man was bound to be extraordinary in the future.
Chu Hao said, "Consider it the startup capital for Sanqing Pavilion."
Yu Sicheng scratched his head and said, "Startup capital doesn’t need to be that much. You keep it."
In the end, Chu Hao still took out ten million and said, "Us brothers need to change our style too. Let’s go get our driver’s licenses tomorrow, buy a few cars, and we’ll also need to hire staff for the store—we must get impressively beautiful women."
Yu Sicheng laughed and said, "Alright, just ten million then."
Ankang Mo and Wang Meng, upon learning that Chu Hao and Yu Sicheng had made fifty million from a single trip, were astounded.
Wang Meng’s mouth twitched as he said, "You guys are joking with me, right?"
Yu Sicheng replied with a laugh, "Why would I joke with you? All the credit goes to Ah-Hao."
Was it really like a dream, earning money in this line of work just like that?
Wang Meng and Ankang Mo were both very nervous; after all, Chu Hao and Yu Sicheng had skills, unlike them.
Yu Sicheng laughed and said, "Don’t worry. Starting tomorrow, I’ll teach you how to catch ghosts. Oh right, Old Mo, do you know anyone at the driving school? We need to learn to drive—after all, it will be troublesome if none of us can drive wherever we go."
Ankang Mo then walked out, saying, "Alright, I’ll go sign up."
At that moment, a BMW parked outside the door. Wenmi got out, an LV bag over her shoulder and carrying several bags in her hands.
"None of you have eaten yet, right?" Wenmi swung the bags of food in her hand.
Everyone looked at Yu Sicheng; the Boss’s face turned a slight shade of red as he said, "Bringing food over so late."
Wenmi stuck out her tongue and said, "I knew you’d be busy all day and definitely wouldn’t have had a meal, so I came. Hurry up and come eat."
The other three guys listened, green with envy.
Chu Hao also wondered. When will Brother Hao ever get this kind of treatment?
Wang Meng laughed heartily and said, "Sister Mi, you really understand my brother. Come in and take a seat."
Wenmi, it seemed, had thoroughly hooked up with Yu Sicheng. The speed at which these two got together was no joke; it was probably Wenmi who did most of the seducing.
Wang Meng, known for his bluntness, asked, "Sister Mi, have you finalized your divorce yet?"
Chu Hao kicked him; Wang Meng knew he had misspoken.
Wenmi replied with a wry smile, "I won’t hide it from you. Jiang Zhewen set one condition: he wants seventy percent of the assets."
Wang Meng grew angry and said, "Damn it! The nerve of him to demand a share of the assets; he has no shame."
Wenmi nodded and said, "He’s trying to drag it out, waiting for my dad’s company to be transferred to me before splitting the assets. How could I let him get away with that? I offered him all our current assets just to get rid of him."
Chu Hao raised his thumb and said, "Sister Mi, nicely done."
Wenmi, hanging her head, said, "Now, I’m penniless, sigh..."
Chu Hao nudged the daydreaming Yu Sicheng.
Yu Sicheng snapped out of it and quickly said, "You have me; I’ll support you."
Wenmi chuckled and said, "Great! As long as you and your brothers don’t mind that I’ve been divorced."
"How could we mind! These days, there are plenty of divorced people. At Sister Mi’s age, she’s still in her prime. There must be lots of people vying for her," Chu Hao said.
Yu Sicheng agreed absentmindedly, "Exactly, exactly."
Wenmi was also very pleased and laughed, saying, "Ah-Hao, you smooth talker, don’t you have a girlfriend? Do you want Sister Mimi to set you up with someone?"
Damn it! I’ve been wanting to get out of this single life for ages!
Chu Hao couldn’t wait to reply, "That would be great."
Wenmi laughed heartily, "I’m surprised as well. With so many girls next door, haven’t you taken a fancy to any of them?"
Chu Hao replied sheepishly, "The girls next door are all practically gangsters. I’m worried I’d lose my good name."
Wenmi, Wang Meng, and Yu Sicheng laughed until their stomachs hurt.
They brought the food upstairs, calling Zhong Minyue and Yun’er, who were staying on the third floor, to join them. Having freeloaded for the past few days, the master and disciple felt somewhat embarrassed.
"Thank you for your kindness," Zhong Minyue said.
Wenmi smiled and said, "Master, please don’t be polite. Eat up, Yun’er."
Yun’er, who had never tasted such delicious food, devoured it hungrily, her face brimming with happiness.
At that moment, Ankang Mo called, and Chu Hao picked up the phone.
"Hey! Chu Hao, right? I’ve got that country bumpkin friend of yours in my hands."
As soon as Chu Hao heard this, his expression changed drastically, and he exclaimed angrily, "Son of a bitch, just try to touch my brother!"
Everyone was taken aback.
On the other end of the phone, the man arrogantly said, "So what if I touch your brother? I’m giving you ten minutes to get to Xiaohuayuan Street. I’ll be waiting for you."
Chu Hao was furious and said, "Old Mo has been kidnapped."
Upon hearing this, Wang Meng and Yu Sicheng knew they couldn’t just sit idly by. They put down their food and immediately set out.
"I’ll drive you there," Wenmi offered.
Zhong Minyue also wanted to help, but Chu Hao shook his head and declined; he felt strange about asking the Master to get involved in a brawl with a bunch of hoodlums.
"Benefactor Mo has taken care of my disciple and me during this time. I cannot simply stand by and do nothing," Zhong Minyue declared.
Yun’er took a big bite of rice, raised her hand, and said, "Yun’er is going too."
"No, Master, you and Yun’er stay home," Chu Hao said. "We’ll go and be right back. With the three of us and our skills, handling this will be easy."
The master and disciple said no more.
The group set out.
Xiaohuayuan Street, a nearby bar street, was cheap and thus a haunt for all sorts of dubious characters.
As they entered Xiaohuayuan Street, they saw people on both sides with colorful hair, wielding steel rods and playing with knives, watching Chu Hao and his group with amusement.
If these weren’t Shamate, what were they?
Chu Hao grew even angrier. A bunch of Shamate dared to mess with my Brother Mo!
The leader of this group, a tall and burly man, grinned and said, "You’re quite punctual."
Chu Hao, with a stern face, asked, "Where’s my brother?"
A few men dragged Ankang Mo out. He was beaten and bloodied, his consciousness waning.
Chu Hao and his three companions were instantly enraged.
Ankang Mo said bitterly, "I... I’m fine. You guys run, they have... more people."
Hoodlums surrounded them, glaring at them like predators.
Chu Hao’s face was grim as he stared coldly at the gang leader and demanded, "Do I have a grudge against you?"
The man chuckled and said, "No grudge, but someone paid me to teach you a lesson."
"Who?"
At that moment, a man in a suit and tie walked out, laughing. "Kid, let’s see how arrogant you can be today."
Lu Shen!
So it was him seeking revenge!
Last time, Lu Shen had been badly frightened. After returning home, he immediately sought help and finally managed to deal with Lu Kui’s ghost.
Lu Shen had long wanted to cause trouble for Chu Hao. This was because Chu Hao had embarrassed him in front of Yue Shanshan and exposed his past embarrassing incidents. Consequently, his hopes of pursuing Yue Shanshan were likely dashed.
Later, hearing that Chu Hao had rented the shop he had reserved, Lu Shen was even more furious.
He had reserved that shop to pursue Yue Shanshan.
So, he hired people to stake out the place. They discovered Ankang Mo going out alone, which provided the perfect opportunity to lure Chu Hao out.
Chu Hao said angrily, "Very well. How do you want to die?"
