Chapter 350: A Witch? Nah. Something much worse
Inez spun on her feet, and so did Scarlet.
Gilderoy stood behind them, his red eyes glaring at them hard, and when the two sisters tried to flee, Gilderoy raised the whip that he had smeared with wolfsbane and slammed it against their backs. The whip burnt the fabric of the clothes, sending a jolt of searing hot pain down their spines.
"Did you have fun playing hide and seek with me?" Gilderoy asked with a glare. He slowly walked over to Inez, who had toppled face-first on the ground and when Scarlet tried to push herself off, the man raised the whip in his hands and whipped her.
"AH!" Scarlet had gritted her teeth, but she still ended up screaming in pain.
"Scar–" Inez tried to reach her sister, but Gilderoy was faster and much more agile; he caught her by her jaw and then twisted her face around such that Inez was looking at him. "Do you have even the slightest fucking idea what kind of mess you have created for me, huh? Do you even know what YOU HAVE DONE!?" He roared so hard that Inez could feel her eardrums bursting with pain.
"We didn’t kill anyone," Inez spoke with some difficulty. The man’s grasp was way too tight, and it was really hard for her to maintain her composure and speak at the same time. The pressure was harsh enough to break her jaw altogether. She could feel the pressure on her teeth, leaving behind a stinging pain that made her suck in a breath through her nostrils. "Let us talk to Alpha Sokolov; he will tell you the truth."
"Tsk," the man clicked his tongue. At the same time, his eyes were wandering as if he was thinking about something. The sudden appearance of Killian Sokolov in the prison building was indeed quite mysterious. What if this woman was speaking the truth? His eyes fell on the beautiful face that was imprinted right behind the pupils of his eyes, and he licked his lips. "Do you think that I need to listen to your foolish explanation? There is no point in handing out any more excuses because you are going to be punished. That’s what is going to happen to you. And do you know who is going to punish you?"
Gilderoy smirked like a maniac as he pulled her face close to his. "Me. I will be the one punishing you for the lack of respect that you have shown me."
Inez pursed her lips as she realised that talking with this man was simply a waste of time. She sucked in a breath and prepared herself for whatever crazy thing she was going to do in a few seconds. "Killian!" Inez screamed at the top of her voice; her scream shattered the peace and silence of the forest. She knew that the risk she was taking was going to be the death of her, but she was willing to make the bet. That Killian would reach her sooner than anyone else.
A stinging sensation made Inez’s eyes roll into the back of her head, and her body hit the ground with a harsh thump. She raised her hand, covered her cheek that had been slapped, and looked up at Gilderoy.
The man took a threatening step forward and hissed. "You are dumb if you think that anyone is going to come and rescue you. But then again, it is a good thing that you escaped from the prison; if you hadn’t, then I wouldn’t have got myself a nice little treat. What do you say? It seems like the whip is useless on you. If it were useful, then you would be singing soprano by now. Since that is the case, I can only use some other method to make you speak."
He reached forward and grabbed her by her legs; with a tug, he pulled her toward him. His lips curl in a smile. "Forcefully it is."

Finn chased after Tracy. "Are we close? Is she in some kind of danger?"
"No, I just wanted to use this free time that we had to jog a little." Tracy glanced at the man with a blank expression. The beta actually looked like he wanted to believe her words. Well, that was kind of cute.
She squinted through the thick bristles and the many trees that were scattered unevenly around the ground. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The scent of pine and elm was filling the entire space, but there was something, something more, that was lingering around the space. There was a thin pink string humming in the air, leaving behind the scent of roses and strawberries.
Tracy licked the inside of her teeth. She had never liked dealing with these bastards, but they never stay put. Always interfering, always causing trouble for her. When they didn’t get what they wanted, they would send their minions to do their bidding. The tugging was still there, a bit more chaotic and teasing. "The one behind this chaos is hiding in the shadows. We first need to grab hold of her; if not, she would create a three-series worth of drama with that alpha of yours and Inez." She lowered her voice, "If you don’t want that to happen, help me catch her."
Finn tensed behind her. Probably, he thought that she was talking about some hidden danger. Maybe she was—wait, was she? She had no idea. She turned and looked at the corner and noticed Finn taking a defensive stance as if he were about to break through the clearing.
"Calm down, big guy." Tracy rolled her eyes. "There is no point in rushing. If you end up getting hoodwinked by her, I am not going to save you."
"Hoodwink? Is it a witch?" Finn turned to look at her, his jaw tensed.
"Worse. Much worse than that." Tracy spun on her heel and started walking towards the little lake she had seen earlier when—
