Hunter emerged from the shadows, decapitating two paladins.
(They don't seem all that strong?)

(No. Would they really send out all of their strongest soldiers away the moment the barrier was breached? They wouldn't.)
(What about the Daughter Of Mercy as well?) – thought Thanatos before then taking the stairs, climbing up to the top of the central tower, before then using her skill to hide one of the column shadows.
(So, this is the thing?) – thought Thanatos as she stared at the giant magic circle with a floating stained glass gem as a group of priest and mages gathered near it.
(This must be the central beacon….. Mages and priest operating it, probably trying to restore the barrier…. While the paladins are guarding them….. But…)
(Where the hell is she? I don't see the Daughter Of Mercy anywhere?!)
(I've didn't raised any alarm whatsoever… So, the hell is going on?! She should be here, trying to repair the barrier!)

(…. Something is going on here.)
[Meanwhile: City streets.]
"KEEP FIRING!"
"DON'T LET THAT BASTARD NEAR YOU AT ANY COST!" – shouted the archer player, ordering other players to fire nonstop at Phantasia.
"?!"
"OH, WHA THE FUCK?!" – shouted the archer player as he saw Phantasia just picking up one of the destroyed tanks, before then throwing it at the players, causing them all to run away.
"!"
But as he stopped one group from attacking, another one on top of the building started firing their long range attacks him, before then noticing a large shadow above them.
"HEY! I'M FUCKING HERE AS WELL!" – shouted Maparapara as she smashed the building with her shields, knocking back all the players.
"Fucking than- OH GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!" – shouted Phantasia as he tried thanking Maparapara, only for the Godfrey to slam at full speed into Phantasia side.
"WOULD YOU FUCKING MIND?!" – shouted Phantasia as he swung around his claws, trying to hit Godfrey who dodged and blocked the attacks, before then counter attacking with a jab with a spear, right in the Phantasia chest.
"!"
But right after landing a hit, he realized Phantasia already transformed his arm into gatling, before then unleashing a hail of bullets at point blank range as Son Of Glory deployed his barrier, blocking the bullets.
"[Gorilla Drum]!" – but as he paid attention to the gatling, Phantasia other hand was free as he just swung his defense destroying brawling skill, breaking the barrier, before then sending Son Of Glory flying, but not far as he stabbed one of the building he flew by with his spear, stopping himself.
(Dammit!) – thought annoyed Phantasia.
(He is really like Iron Will, but more like on steroids!)
(Not only that, but there are also players to deal with.)
(That guy is able to command them all pretty well on top it all…. He is having the tanks and fights on standby, waiting for the opportunity while I'm distracted or I'm trying to make some space or just having them keep Maparapara in place…. There are also the long range fictioneers just harassing us both.)
(And he is commanding them all while fighting me nonstop?! Fuck me! He is cool, alright?!)
(But then again, things should start going downhill.)
And it was just like Phantasia thought, the things really started down hill for the holy empire.
Reason?
The alliance.
The holy kingdom forces were being overwhelmed everywhere from all directions, this obviously also included the vampires as their forces broke through the holy empire defenses, joining up with Phantasia and Maparapara the fight against both the players and the Son Of Glory.
(Shit! I thought they would be able to hold them back for much longer!) – thought Godfrey, before then sensing something right behind him, alarming him as he quickly raised his guard, barely blocking in time the Halbert of the vampire general, before then counter attacking with his rapier, forcing the vampire to retreat, before then taking out his spear from the wall, making a large swing that created a giant slash of light, which forced the vampire general to use [Blood Barrier], blocking the attack, while the Son Of Glory landed on the ground.
"…"
"Good evening dear son of emperor." – said the vampire general.
"Nothing personal, but don't you mind if I spill out your holy blood?"
"HA! You can try you- "
Godfrey suddenly deployed barrier, blocking Phantasia magic bullets and spells.
"…"
"I didn't forgotten about you, bastard." – said pissed off Godfrey.
"Do you really think that any tricks you have up your sleeve will work?"
….
But just as he said that, the light of the main barrier beacon stopped…. Before moments later the Great Barrier collapse started as Godfrey and everybody in as well as outside the city watched as the Great Barrier disappeared right in front of their eyes.
"…"
"Well, well, well." – said Phantasia.
"It seems that our trick did worked in the end." – said Phantasia, before then noticing a messenge from Thanatos.
["SHE IS NOT HERE"]

"Hey."
"Where the hell is the Daughter Of Mercy, you bastard?"
"!"
(SHIT! THEY KNOW!) – thought panicking Godfrey.
"No wonder the barrier was being repaired so slow…. She isn't even here, is she?" – asked the vampire general.
"…"
Godfrey kept his mouth shut, before then rushing at the vampire general, trying to impale him with his spear.
"!"
(HOLY! HE IS REALLY FAST!) – thought the vampire general.
(But-)
Right as he charged at the vampire, the wave of bullets and spells came right behind him, but obviously the Son Of Glory foresaw this attack and quickly leaped high into the air, dodging the attack.
However, he wasn't the only one who leaped high, the vampire general did the jump at the same time, before then he swung his weapon at Godfrey, forcing him to block and start the fight midair…. Only for the vampire to quickly stop it by kicking Godfrey away as a rocket came at him from behind, hitting him and creating a large explosion.
"…"
"THE HELL WAS THAT?!" – shouted Godfrey as he jumped out of the smoke, landing on top of the building, before then looking towards Phantasia and noticing a large rocket launcher with multiple ballers.
"BETTER RUN!" – shouted Phantasia as he fired a second rocket, forcing Godfrey to jump from the building he was from as the rocket explosion completely demolished it…. However, as he dodged one attack, another one came from below and this time it wasn't vampire general, but instead Maparapara as she stretched her body and slammed her shields from the sides, trying to sandwich Godfrey.
"!?"
(Shit! The adventures are getting overwhelmed by vampires?!) – thought Godfrey, as he realized that the adventures were fully occupied with fighting the vampire forces and being unable to provide any support.
"FUCKING MONSTER! PISS OFF!" – shouted Godfrey in fury.
"[FREEDOM AND LIGHT]!" – Godfrey unleashed a giant blast of light form his body, knocking back Maparapara shields and even damaging the slime girl, before then leaping away to safety.
However, as he leaped away from one danger, another one came from the vampire that tried to attack him from behind, landing a hit, before then getting counter attacked with the holy blade…. And then he got blowen up with a rocket from Phantasia, fallowed up with Maparapara joining the fight again, thrusting forward her spiked shield and just punching with it Godfrey entire body, sending him flying before then being quickly forced to stab the ground with his sword, regaining the balance and making a quickly escape as a fourth rocket came his way, demolishing the entire building he was just in.
(Dammit! They are trapping me!) – thought Godfrey as he tried to make some distance, only for the vampire general to once again get in his way, stopping him and allowing Maparapara to close the distance and join up the fight.
Godfrey was right.
The trio was trying to trap him.
They were trying to restrict his moments…. And the plan was working. He was now taking more and more hits, causing the damage to stack up, forcing the Son Of Glory to try and make distance while also trying to heal…. Only to be interrupted each time.
He tried to also blast away both the slime and vampire away with [Glory March], unleashing a charge attack with knockback that pushed away both of his enemies while he ran away from them in order to catch his breath…. Only to be met with Phantasia rocket as he just finished reloading his rocket launcher, resulting in the Son Of Glory getting blown up once again as soon as he regained freedom.
Obviously he also tried a different approach.
He tried going after Phantasia who had a long range attacks that were bothering his moment…. But it didn't worked.
Phantasia was able to take a lot of hits and his current body was made to deal with the holy nature, resulting in the "getting rid off" never really happening …. While the other two joined up the fight and started attacking the man once again.
Things were not looking good for the Son Of Glory.
His attacks were working and everything…. But the problem was that the enemies he was dealing with had a special made armors that were meant to counter Godfrey holy nature mana, while also possessing either high defense or regenerative ability…. Resulting in the trio surviving the paladin attacks.
And he wasn't the only one having bad time.
The Great Barrier, even if it may had shattered had made openings for the alliance forces, it was still somewhat holding them back… But once it was gone, the entire alliance forces were able to launch all of their attacks.
The city walls crumbled.
The soldiers invaded.
….
And the starving empire soldiers just died.
They didn't had any strength left in their body…. Nor they seen any hopes at praying anymore, since all they could see was despair.
They tried to run away, surrender or even betray their own comrades… But no mercy was shown.
The empire forces were slaughtered like pigs without even a hint of mercy from the alliance troops.
The same went for the players working for the empire, they were all also hunted down.
Some players from the alliance even intentionally waited outside the city, waiting for any stragglers that would escape the city in order to obtain more contribution points.
….
It was over.
The empire forces were getting slaughtered and nobody had even any hopes at running away.
There was straight up literally nothing they could had done.
This battle was already lost to them.
