Chapter 1823: Chapter 608: Boboke’s Third Brush with Death (Part 3)

“You have no self-awareness!”

Beside him, Ni Gei Lu Da You, holding a sword and shield, used a shield bash to knock down a Jackal assassin, leaving it to his good buddy Khaki Tontita for the final blow, while harshly complaining:

“What are you, what is the NPC, and what is Lord Morphy?

You want to use the same skills as Lord Morphy, do you qualify?

We just have a monkey version of strength, but over at Brother Meow’s they also pulled out a monkey version of Necessary Evil, so we’ll all likely end up being crazy Cosers of Lord Morphy.

Just that we don’t have his looks, even getting plastic surgery makes it hard to achieve Lord Morphy’s face unless we get his rare skin.

But the drop rate for that is too low.

Currently, only the black market of the Blood Rat Gang has a certain chance to spawn rare skins for specific NPCs, and it’s criminally expensive.”

“Doesn’t matter if it’s strong or not!”

Khaki Tontita, wielding a battle axe, emphasized to his two playful brothers while assisting Niu Niu in a charge forward:

“Since becoming a vampire, of course, you should pursue being cool. I’ve decided, I’m going to learn the art of combat from Lord Morphy. Look at him, wielding a sword and slashing people with elegance like he’s on a fashion runway.

Heh, true to the classic Redd Stander Blood race, the authentic taste is where it’s at.”

The players’ playful banter was all captured by Morphy’s keen senses, and hearing them compliment his coolness pleased him, pondering whether to reward these discerning little guys at some point.

But soon after, Morphy felt a power brewing and rising within him, prompting him to glance at his character card prompt in surprise.

Oh, it turns out the “Vampire’s Touch” talent of the Blood Vulture Clan was activated.

This thing lets the Blood Vulture Clan accumulate a bit of blood energy with each attack, which can be used to enhance the next wave of attack or defense when the blood energy is full. However, its effective attack requires bloodletting, and since his reincarnation, Morphy has been restraining his thirst for blood.

As you can see, he never drinks others’ blood in combat, indicating that he dislikes the loss of control under bloodthirsty conditions, so Morphy has rarely triggered the enhanced effect of Vampire’s Touch.

The players, though, often trigger it.

They call this talent “Blood Clan Mini Rage”, now a must-master little combo skill for those Blood race players aiming to deliver extreme DPS.

Seeing his blood energy already full, Morphy glanced at the crowded area ahead, unfurled his wings, and soared upwind, tossing the Melt Sword back into his bag and grabbing a Mechanical War Hammer that came with the Traveler’s Armor, which looked very similar to Maxim’s Skull Breaker in hand, but was a downgraded mass-production version, used by Morphy, who currently lacked a handy weapon, as a filler weapon.

Though an excellent Swordsman, he’s currently learning to use other weapons.

According to Kudell, mastering various weapons is a vital step to becoming a Sword Master, and the Swordsaint Profession is the future career path Morphy has chosen for himself.

The Lord in the air held the hammer with both hands, and after another death drop, used one of Kudell’s signature slash techniques, “Split Earth Slash,” against the center of the Jackals, applying the Vampire’s Touch enhancement on this blow. It burst like a crimson meteor, blood splatting amid explosive blasts, hurling a dozen Jackals into the air, only to be drawn back to Morphy’s side with Group Midnight Grasp.

Necessary Evil swept through with a howl, while the Crimson Ability drained blood. Morphy hurled the massive unstable blood orb in hand behind for the final blow of this silky little combo.

“Boom”

The malicious blood burst open on the rear line, with arrows of blood continually piercing, while the death summons of the Graveblade Guardsman took effect, summoning an equivalent number of resentful spirits as the Jackals fell.

Too bad George has been expelled from the Star Realm Wolf pack; otherwise, another extended summoning could keep Morphy’s “snowball tactic” rolling again.

But even this scene is already impressive.

At least in the players’ eyes, Sir Morphy has gone on a killing spree.

His absolute power may not rival Natalie’s, who just became a chosen one, swinging the Watcher’s killing power, but his performance and “coolness” surely aren’t lacking, rather full of a vampire lord’s elegance and mysterious obscurity.

In the “Demon Swordsman” domain alone, perhaps many can defeat Morphy, but very few can pull off such stylish combos as he does.

No help for it, inherent handsomeness allows you to do whatever you want.

And under Morphy’s lead coupled with Turner’s formation-breaking tactics, the Second Group’s warriors went berserk, wildly hacking away, keeping the battle loss ratio at two to one against Jackal barbarian soldiers, who outnumbered them twofold.

Regrettably, someone like Lady Shui, a super healer, wasn’t there, otherwise, the casualty rate could’ve reduced further.

Still, this is plenty.

The Jackals aren’t a modern army; their organization and training couldn’t reach the absurd extent of continuing to fight with 80% losses. In fact, without a voodoo war flag and a commanding general, these elite Whip-tail Clan began a morale collapse at 30% loss.

They wished to escape the combat zone, but Triss already sent Lord Hether and her hundred-strong guard safely into The Grand Marshal Hurley’s formation rear.

The Blood Covenant Knights Group’s Second Lord is inherently fierce, plus she’s a dwarf, doubling her destructive power. However, she and Triss adhered to the tournament rules.

They wouldn’t enter the combat zone to affect the players’ war, but their activity entirely blocked Military Governor Hurley’s retreat, instantly making the Governor aware of the vampires’ sinister intent.

They planned to drive him into the meat grinder-like battlefield ahead.

But what the Governor thought at this point nobody cared; he must fulfill the tournament’s final BOSS duty, letting players have a killing spree!

Morphy no longer paid attention to the predetermined outcome of this battlefield.

He was now, amid the chaotic night battlefield, staring in surprise at the strange Jackal before him, the most noticeable feature being its eyes’ black mane, making it look as though it naturally wore black circles.

This unique “appearance” seemed like a rare trait, turning the fierce Jackal “naive.”

“You have the aura of Wise Wolf, sir…”

Morphy stowed away the Melt Sword, gesturing to Boboke, who was prepared to fight desperately, saying:

“I cooperate with Wise Wolf, sir. I greatly admire its noble idea to save the people. So, scram, thank Wise Wolf for saving your life. You! Leave! Do not set foot on my hunting ground again!”
