Chapter 1202: Chapter 349: Becoming the Father of a Venerable?
….
Blood Crocodile Era 16019: During this past century, my brothers Gana, Gael, and Galan exhausted their lifespans, becoming Divine Fiends. I have sealed them in a barrier, visiting them now and then. Yet, I feel increasingly lonely in this world.
Blood Crocodile Era 16208: Over a dozen more of my brothers have succumbed to being Divine Fiends. However, I’ve noticed in the past eighty years that my Divine Power recovers about thirty percent faster, and my strength has increased by ten percent, which I suspect is related to their demise.
…..
…
Blood Crocodile Era 21889: For these five thousand years, I’ve often contemplated that perhaps the path to becoming a True God does not lie in destroying the cyclical world but within the races of each Venerable. I want to accomplish something significant.
Blood Crocodile Era 22099: After gradually slaughtering all the descendants of the Blood Crocodile Clan in the wild, the fortune indeed became more concentrated.
Blood Crocodile Era 22909: I gradually killed off the Blood Crocodile believers, leaving only the last priest with me. I couldn’t bear it…
Blood Crocodile Era 22909: Kill.
The following is nearly a millennium of blank space until the diary resumes a thousand years later.
Blood Crocodile Era 33819: I was wrong; the connection between a Demigod and their race is like that of fish and water. Though a Demigod without their race may have a temporary surge in power, they ultimately cannot reach the realm of a True God. Subsequently, they start fading rapidly, like a duckweed without roots, like water without a source.
I am the sinner of the Blood Crocodile Clan….
The Blood Crocodile Clan will perish because of me….
….
Following this are the bits and pieces of Blood Crocodile Venerable’s records and reflections over the years.
And perhaps because he believed it was his fault that led to the extinction of the Blood Crocodile Clan, he has been living in guilt, never resting to replenish his lifespan—of course, it might also be because the rate of his lifespan diminishing has surpassed replenishment.
It was only fifty years ago, when Blood Crocodile Venerable had weakened to a certain degree and contemplated erasing his consciousness to fall into being a Divine Fiend, that he suddenly thought of a plan.
The plan, similar to Fang Ze’s, was this: If he were to fall into being a Divine Fiend and then enter rest, would a new creature emerge from his Divine Body?
Would this new creature still inherit his “curse”?
Regarding the outcome of this plan, he thought of three possibilities.
First: If it doesn’t inherit his “curse,” then this creature would be free from his “original sin,” no longer bearing his guilt, and could live freely.
Second: If it inherits his “original sin,” that indicates this creature is still a Demigod of the Blood Crocodile Clan. Then, it means other Divine Fiends from the Blood Crocodile Clan might also be “revived” through this method.
Third: If he himself were to resurrect, it would essentially not differ much from the second possibility and even prove that other Demigods of the Blood Crocodile Clan could “rebirth” as well.
If the outcome of this plan were either the second or third method, then they’d just need to find a way to let ordinary Divine Fiends rest, which could lead to more Demigods of the Blood Crocodile Clan being reborn!
And should two of these Demigods willingly forsake their eternal life and combine, a new generation of Blood Crocodile Clan could be born! The Blood Crocodile Clan would once more return to the stage of the cyclical world!
Stunned by this bold yet feasible idea, Blood Crocodile Venerable began to research how he could enter rest after falling into being a Divine Fiend.
He researched for ten years and eventually discovered a method: condensing his Divine Power into two “Divine Skill Seeds.” One placed within his body, another outside.
Once the external Divine Skill Seed detects his fall into a Divine Fiend, it triggers the Divine Skill Seed inside him, causing his Divine Power to automatically follow the path of a Demigod’s rest.
Thus, the Divine Fiend, unconsciously, enters into rest.
After testing on himself several times and confirming these two Divine Skill Seeds’ effectiveness, he resolutely executed his Divine Fiend Revival Plan…..
As for the diary Fang Ze is reading now, it was left by Blood Crocodile Venerable for that new lifeform. With this diary, the new lifeform can easily understand the sequence of events and continue with the plan. Of course, it benefits Fang Ze now…
After reading the entire diary, Fang Ze finally understood why he hadn’t sensed the Divine Power Barrier and why Blood Crocodile Venerable wasn’t disturbed by those sneaking into the Blood Crocodile Swamp: Simply put, Blood Crocodile Venerable had not been resting but had “dissipated consciousness.”
Thus, that’s why the Blood Crocodile Swamp was able to produce so many Heavenly Treasures and Earthly Marvels. After all, when a whale falls, all creatures thrive…
Regarding the Ascension-level Believer’s claim of Blood Crocodile Venerable’s mercurial temperament, there’s now an explanation: Without the support of his own race, Blood Crocodile Venerable’s lifespan loss was too severe, and his nature gradually eroded over time.
It’s indeed astonishing, Fang Ze mused, that Blood Crocodile Venerable managed to maintain enough sanity to come up with this plan.
With these thoughts, after finishing the entire diary, Fang Ze solemnly put it away.
There’s no denying that Fang Ze’s expedition to confine Blood Crocodile Venerable turned out to be an unexpected joy: He’s been eager to conduct tests for the [Divine Fiend Revival] plan but couldn’t due to unripe conditions. So, he buried a few Divine Fiends in the Flower God’s secret realm to observe their absorption of the Power of Laws and revival situation.
And now, he could get direct data from Blood Crocodile Venerable!
With this in mind, Fang Ze glanced at the Divine Throne once more and then prepared to enter the Late-Night Investigation Room to awaken Blood Crocodile Venerable, to see the result of his experiment.
