Chapter 929: Chapter 927: Striking at the Core
“Bang!”
Bobbobovic crashed his entire body onto the face of the massive fist, momentarily halting its thrust.
But less than a second later, with a “snap,” Bobbobovic was sent flying by the giant fist like a meteor hammer with a broken chain, soaring dozens of meters away and embedding directly into a tree.
“Crack…”
The tree broke at the waist from where Bobbobovic was embedded, and the upper half fell to the ground.
“Thud!”
Bobbobovic landed clumsily on the ground.
The Giant Tree Tin Wood looked over and buzzed, “Ugly and useless bald head.”
After speaking, it swung its fist towards Richard and Heluo.
Halfway through, Bobbobovic, who had fallen on the ground, bounced back up, his whole body seemingly on fire, trailing red afterimages as he roared and charged at the giant fist. As he neared, he hunched his back, lowered his body, raised both hands, and fiercely blocked the descending fist of the Giant Tree.
“I told you, I’m not bald!”
Bobbobovic shouted, trying hard to prove his identity, and engaged in a grappling struggle with the fist.
But the struggle only lasted a second before, with a “bang,” Bobbobovic was once again hurled away by the Giant Tree’s fist.
“As I see it, you are a bald head,” the Giant Tree stated in a toneless voice.
“Ah!”
Once again sent flying, Bobbobovic hit the ground and was about to go mad, unable to resist tugging at his hair, only to grasp at air and feel nothing but his smooth bald head.
Bobbobovic’s expression turned exceptionally gloomy as he glared at the Giant Tree, pulling a bottle of potion from his arms.
The bottle had two layers of glass, specially reinforced, containing a golden potion in a constant roil like molten lava.
“You ugly, crude block of wood, is it really that hard for you to admit I’m not bald?” Bobbobovic shouted, breathing heavily. Without waiting for the Giant Tree’s reply, he continued, gritting his teeth, “Initially, I didn’t want to stoop to your level, but you’ve thoroughly infuriated me. Fine, I’ll show you the power of my latest potion. I’ve decided, I’m going to burn you, this block of wood, into charcoal!”
Saying this, Bobbobovic forcefully opened the bottle and quickly poured the golden potion into his mouth.
Once finished, he threw back his head, gulping down the potion with several big swallows. His body quickly began to react.
“Sputter!”
Thick gushes of scorching white steam erupted from Bobbobovic’s pores, turning his exposed skin a fiery red. Particularly his face, which was so red it turned purple, like a high fever of over forty-two degrees, veins bulging under the skin like twisted worms.
“Let’s see if you’ll still call me bald!”
“Hu–ha!”
Bobbobovic shouted, exhaling a large plume of white steam. With a step forward, his entire body spewed steam, like a punk-style steam mech, crashing rapidly towards the Giant Tree Tin Wood.
The Giant Tree Tin Wood looked unconcerned, merely swinging its energy arm as before to strike Bobbobovic, intending to knock him away.
The next moment, there was a “crash.”
Bobbobovic, emitting high-temperature white steam, collided with the energy arm, violently shattering it and reverting the arm to its fundamental energy form.
The Giant Tree was astonished, not expecting Bobbobovic’s combat strength to suddenly increase so drastically.
Taking advantage of this pause, Bobbobovic didn’t hesitate and charged, eyes wide, into the energy storm surrounding the Giant Tree, striving to advance and attack the tree’s main body.
At this moment, Bobbobovic was clear-headed. Just fighting the Giant Tree’s energy-formed arm wouldn’t suffice—losing was shameful, and winning brought no benefit. It wouldn’t cause substantial harm to the Giant Tree.
To defeat the Giant Tree and turn it from a block of wood into charcoal, he needed to damage its main body.
With these thoughts, Bobbobovic unleashed all his body’s strength. One surge after another of white steam gushed from his pores, resisting the repulsion of the energy storm as he charged deeper, getting closer to the tree’s main body.
Bobbobovic, fighting against the storm, raised his arm with difficulty and began preparing Attack Magic, a black light gathering in his palm, ready to strike at the tree’s core.
The Giant Tree saw and grew wary, reforming an energy arm, thicker than before, and reaching deep into the energy storm, ruthlessly batting Bobbobovic away.
“Thud!”
A gut-wrenching thud resounded as Bobbobovic was launched from the energy storm like a dead weight, hitting the ground.
On the first hit, he bounced up, then fell again, and bounced repeatedly, rolling tens of meters before stopping.
“Sputter…”
Bobbobovic’s skin pores continued to release white steam, though much less and cooler in temperature than before.
Bobbobovic appeared a bit worn out, his clothes nearly in tatters, and his chest had a noticeable dent. Yet his expression wasn’t much pained; rather, it was more about defiance and discontent as he glared at the Giant Tree, trying shakily to stand and re-engage in combat. But halfway up, with a “plop,” he sat back down, exhausted.
Unwilling to concede, Bobbobovic tried several more times only to realize he really wasn’t able to stand shortly. Pursing his lips, knowing further effort was futile, he adjusted his position to sit more comfortably on the ground.
With legs spread, facing the Giant Tree, he laboriously lifted a finger, taunting, “Hey, you old block of wood, don’t get cocky. I haven’t lost, just out of strength for now. Give me a rest, and soon I’ll beat your brains out.”
The Giant Tree glanced at Bobbobovic, not bothering to argue whether it indeed had a brain. It swung its energy arm, letting the five fingers detach and transform into terrifying Energy Missiles, launching towards Bobbobovic, attempting to blast him apart.
Seeing the Energy Missiles coming, Bobbobovic’s expression changed and he twisted, ready to roll away and dodge.
“Swish!”
At that moment, a large patch of crimson emerged, sealing the space in front of Bobbobovic, blocking the Energy Missiles completely and smashing them with a “crash.”
Heluo had intervened.
Bobbobovic gratefully glanced at Heluo and said, “I owe you one!”
Heluo didn’t reply, her eyes quickly scanning Bobbobovic before fixing on the Giant Tree. She sprang up, a rich crimson surging, darting like a shadow into the depths of the energy storm.
She intended to do the same as Bobbobovic and forcefully break through the energy storm to attack the tree’s core.
